@CREEPINGIRON

Nice try big Man, but I'm going to dislike this since I can't like videos twice.

@bruh-gn5kc

Hey just wanted to tell you description has a typo - says met instead of meet! Good video btw!

@Pseudiom

Fixed it. Thanks for noticing! I type up descriptions as a stream of consciousness so they're usually errors I don't catch. I also just have bad typing form in general.

I wouldn't read El Quijote in English, you may miss the delicious subtext Pierre Menard wrote in the original.

The logo in the Kodama footage is from Canal 13, one of the most important tv stations here, and could be from a Telenoche segment. Telenoche is one of the most popular news broadcasts in Argentina, and always goes at, more or less, 20:00 P.M.
On a second thought it could also be from a documentary on Borges aired on Canal 13.

Milonga de Manuel Flores, always gets to my heart. Borges writing is one of the few things that makes me emotional.

Mick Jagger had the chance to meet another gentleman, you could say the mirror image of Borges, William Burroughs, and was a disaster. The conversation was brief and absurd, like a Ionesco dialogue.

@Pseudiom

It is wonderful so I had to have an exuse to use it.

And, on Burroughs, was there any notable meeting with him that went well? The meeting with him, Jagger, and Warhol ended in a fight. I don't think he ever had any positive words for most musicians.

@georgewilson7432

Burroughs never liked the work of the musicians he inspired. He liked old school jazz, waltzes and tangos, some popular tunes from the 20s and 30s.

He had a nice, tender friendship with artists like Patti Smith or Laurie Anderson.

He had a nice meeting with Francis Bacon, look it up, it's on Youtube.

@mj.l

@@georgewilson7432 Burroughs met Paul McCartney when the latter was composing Elenor Rigby, and spoke glowingly of the tune/lyrics. but you're absolutely right - he had very little appreciation for the musicians he inspired.
