Dick for Brains
MDC Lyrics

I'll do anything you want me to
Why? Why?
Dick for brains, dick for brains
You know it drives me so insane
You know I love your power
I wait on your golden shower
Why? Why?
Dick for brains, dick for brains
Not a woman with a clit for brains
You know it drives me so insane
You know how I try to please
Got carpet burns on my knees
Why? Why?
Why? Why?
Dick for brains, dick for brains
Why am I your dick for brains?
You know it drives me so insane
I love it when you treat me cruel
Let me have the whole damn rule
Why? Why?
Dick for brains, dick for brains
Why am I your dick for brains?
You know it drives me so insane
I'm your maid and your chauffeur too
Why do I feel so black and blue?
Why? Why?
Dick for brains, dick for brains
Why am I your dick for brains?
The song "Dick for Brains" by the American punk rock band MDC is a satirical and provocative commentary on power dynamics in relationships. The song centers around a male narrator who is infatuated with a powerful woman, often referred to as a goddess, and is willing to do anything to please her, even if it means sacrificing his own dignity and self-respect. The repeated refrain "Why am I your dick for brains?" serves as a criticism of the way women are sometimes viewed and treated by men as objects of desire and subservience.
The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a submissive and masochistic relationship, with references to the singer waiting on his partner's "golden shower" and enduring carpet burns on his knees from trying to please her. The lines "Let me have the whole damn rule" and "I'm your maid and your chauffeur too" showcase the unequal power dynamic at play, with the singer willingly giving up his autonomy and agency for the sake of his partner's pleasure. Despite the apparently abusive and degrading nature of the relationship described, the singer professes his love and adoration for his partner, reinforcing the idea that love can be a complicated and messy emotion.

M.D.C. Dick for Brains is one of the first hardcore punk/metal cross over songs in 1982 as well as Discharge Protest and Survive 82/ and Meat Puppets Hair 1981 which is also probably the very first blast beat track.

You couldn't be more wrong - this is not bridging any punk/metal lines in any sense whatsoever. I can't imagine how you came to that conclusion.
