For years
Yall been squeezing us to death
Yall been squeezing up the debt bruh
And we gon work to get it back together
Don't label us no name bruh
But yall can call us collect
I been through
We Makin connects and plugs
No more minimum checks
We done
On God
Its gonnna take alot of gas but we gon make a run
Its gonnna take alot of gas but we gon make a run
And get up out these holes that we didn't dug
Is gonna take alot of gas but we can make it run
Im sayin Lord
Heal My Freedom
Just Heal My Freedom Lord
Lord Heal MY Freedom
Just Heal My Freedom Lord
So we can get up out these holes that we didn't dug
Is gonna take alot of gas but we gon make a run
Permission granted
I was lost on a mission
I crash landed
Radio back
Goin ham
Like check check
Alpha alpha
Screamin out golf
Oscar delta
Man, is this thing on?
Whats killin us inside
Damn is this thing wrong
On God
Jehovah Nissi
Come on in Im bleedin
Its been way too long
My hope all thin
Im hurt from the past
The healing starts from the in
Eternal Genocides a no mans land
So step aside so we can move in fast
Like its Gentrified
Permission granted
Lets clear the path for the landin
And take flight wit the righteous...Sayin
Lord
Heal My Freedom Lord
Lord, just Heal My Freedom
Heal My Freedom Lord
Lord, just Heal My Freedom
just Heal My Freedom, Lord
So we can get up out these holes that we didn't dug
Its gonna take alot of gas But we could make a run
We could make it run, uh
How much more can we absorb man
Im tearin down these walls
And the doors and the locks
Kept me boxed a whole year or more
Time i can afford
We suffered through the Pain tears and all Man
I pray for all
So pray for me
We aint suffer from no freedom
My side on his kingdom
Cause he the one
He the really one
Welcomed me with open arms
Once removed from that war
Twice came back to more and more
My mental leave and scars
Cause I was wrapped behind bars
Just released and deployed
Cause he my freedom
Hes the reason that im dreamin
I belive him
So im strollin through life
Like Johns Heart
And I plan to see him
Im sayin Lord
Just heal my freedom
Heal My Freedom Lord
Just heal my freedom
Heal my freedom...Lord
So we can get up out these holes that we didn't dug
Its gonna take alot of gas but we can make a run
And we gon make it One
Come on man...
The lyrics to MO's song "Heal" speak to the struggles and challenges faced by a marginalized community that is determined to rise above their circumstances. The verse begins by addressing the historical oppression and exploitation experienced by this community, symbolized by the metaphorical squeezing of their necks and the burden of debt. Despite these hardships, they resolve to work together and reclaim their power, rejecting any negative labels society may place upon them.
The lyrics express a desire for healing and freedom, a plea to a higher power to intervene and restore their dignity. The repetition of the phrase "Heal My Freedom" emphasizes this longing for both physical and emotional liberation. They acknowledge that it will require tremendous effort ("a lot of gas") to overcome the obstacles they face, but they are determined to make a run for it and emerge from the holes they have been forced into.
The second verse further explores the struggle and reveals the singer's sense of alienation and longing for connection. They feel lost and crash-landed in a hostile environment, using radio jargon and military references to highlight the intensity of their plight. They express a deep emotional pain that stems from their past experiences and seek healing and redemption. They ask for permission to move forward and clear the path for a fresh start, emphasizing their desire to align themselves with righteousness.
Overall, "Heal" is a powerful anthem of resilience and hope. It captures the struggle faced by marginalized communities and their determination to overcome adversity and find healing and freedom.
