Before their debut, the boys participated in the survival show NO.MERCY. The group name has the double meaning of monsters conquering the K-pop scene and my star (MON means 'my' in French). X is an unknown existence.
They officially debuted through M! Countdown on May 14, 2015 with " 무단침입 (Trespass)". Their first music show trophy came with "DRAMARAMA" through The Show on November 14, 2017, while the album, THE CODE, peaked at #1 on the Gaon Album Chart.
They released their first Japanese-only single "SPOTLIGHT" on January 10, 2018.
In February 2020, Monsta X's first English album All About Luv ranked number five on the US Billboard 200 and number seven on the US Rolling Stone Top 200.
Since debut, Monsta X has been known for their aggressive style, combining elements of hip hop, EDM and pop. This aggressive style with "tracks centred around loud, clattering, electronic instrumentals, vicious rap verses, and striking vocals" has been influential across the fourth generation of K-pop.
On December 10, Monsta X released their second English-language album The Dreaming, which includes the previously released single "One Day" and nine new tracks. They also released a documentary/concert film Monsta X: The Dreaming on December 8 in South Korea and on December 9 and 11 in seventy countries around the world. The film contains exclusive interviews with the members, clips from their US activities, special stages, and the group's six-year journey. The group will be joining iHeartRadio's Jingle Ball Tour and is set to perform at Philadelphia on December 13, Washington D.C. on December 14, Atlanta on December 16, and Miami on December 19.

People just assume they can't. Be it laziness, no idea how to learn, or bad teachers... Language isn't a hard science. It's not Physics where everything has to be perfect.
And most of them come from the same originator, Latin.
Those that don't, have a crapton of loan words from English and French, which came from Latin.
Same goes for East Asian languages. Once you learn Korean, Japanese comes easy. Once you know those two, you can passably use Chinese.

Honestly I’m so sad. This was when Mx was really suppose to pop off. They had this great English album, they had a collab with Jaguar, they were going to get the worldwide fame they deserved. I’m still so incredibly proud of them. I love the music that has come out since. But we all know they deserved so much more.
