Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from

The motherfuckin' land, get it straight
Boy, you will get scraped
Bitch, I'm from the motherfuckin' land of the apes
Get the fuck out my face (Bitch)
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm blowin' strong
E'rywhere I go (E'rywhere I go), everyday, everybody know
In my hood, motherfuckers get it on

Puttin' on for the city like Snowman
'Cause in my city I don't snow, man
And that ain't no diss to Jeezy
'Cause Jeezy know what's up, believe
That's my nigga back in Puerto Rico
'Fore the rap shit popped, we were talkin' kilos
Had a Puerto Rican bitch and I pulled the plug
Big bottle on numbers and we call him Nino
Yo, one ounce and a pound back in north Memphis
I'm a north Memphis nigga till I die, dawg
Yeah, motherfuck a suit and tie, dawg
We don't wear our hats to the back with the five, dawg
Bang, put the plug on chill
Told 'em I ain't through yet, hell naw, I ain't retire, dawg
I just want a piece of mind, dawg
Why you hatin' on a nigga from the city? Lemme shine, dawg

E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on, puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on, puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on, puttin' on
E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on, puttin' on

Where I'm from

(East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999

I be drivin' all the foreign cars 'til the day I die
Fuckin' all the foreign hoes 'til the day I die
Went to hit the dealer, then a nigga drove it out
When 'em doors go up, all them panties fallin' down
Niggas ain't know me then, but 'em niggas know me know
When I pull up in the Benz, all the jewels drippin' down
I be fuckin' up arenas, all 'em hoes singin' now
I be fuckin' with them boys that lift you off the ground
I stand out, spent a hun'ed racks to put the band on it
Shawty bendin' it over, let me land on it
Grabbin' brown bags, Uncle Sam, homie
Got the pussy jumpin', dove a HAM on it
Young nigga goin' hard
If you talk about them cars, fuck y'all like the dealer
Now, I did it for my dawgs
I be smokin' out the jar like a dreadlock, haann

Ay, Bleed, keep puttin' on
I said keep puttin' on, Ray been puttin' on
See, I bossed wit' my mans wit' the plug, put 'em on
In the plug, put 'em on, yeah

Yeah, East Side for life
I'm a real Cleveland legend, I'm a ride 'til the day I die
Get high, bury me with my chrome .45
Now tell me, now tell me, do that sound familiar?
If you from Cleveland, you all are familiar
If you get money, one hundred, you know that we feelin' you

Hold up, bitch, I'm from the land and y'all know that
Y'all never should have let me go back
Even when I didn't had no plaque
I was court side in the Cavaliers throwback
I was only nineteen ridin' up Miles
Back when I was nineteen turnin' up wild
I was in the flats when the land slanged goals
Ridin' up Satchel when them boys slanged hoes
I was on the clear when L came down
Leavin' out of work, on to rap it downtown
I was in the club when they played "We Ball"
And I repped my hood and everybody started brawlin'
Back when I was sixteen, I was spittin' sixteen
Hoppin' up the Blue Line on 116
Tryin' to get my fifteen minutes of fame, shit changed
Now I'm on the big screen like...

Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999

Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
Bitch, I'm from the land

Line by Line Meaning

Bitch, I'm from (East), East 1999, the 9999
I am from the East side of Cleveland, specifically the year 1999, which is significant because the number nine is repeated four times.

Bitch, I'm from The motherfuckin' land, get it straight Boy, you will get scraped Bitch, I'm from the motherfuckin' land of the apes Get the fuck out my face (Bitch)
I am from Cleveland, Ohio, and you better recognize that or you will get hurt. My hometown is a rough place, hence the reference to being from the 'land of the apes.'

E'rywhere I go, I'm puttin' on E'rywhere I go, I'm blowin' strong E'rywhere I go (E'rywhere I go), everyday, everybody know In my hood, motherfuckers get it on
Wherever I am, I am representing my city and putting on for it. I am also smoking weed everywhere I go, and everyone knows this. In my neighborhood, people are always involved in some kind of drama or conflict.

Puttin' on for the city like Snowman 'Cause in my city I don't snow, man And that ain't no diss to Jeezy 'Cause Jeezy know what's up, believe That's my nigga back in Puerto Rico 'Fore the rap shit popped, we were talkin' kilos
I am representing Cleveland in the same way that rapper Jeezy reps his hometown. He's known as the 'Snowman' because he's from Atlanta, which doesn't get snow. Similarly, I'm from Cleveland, which doesn't get a lot of snow. I'm not dissing Jeezy, though, because he knows what's up. We used to hang out together in Puerto Rico before we became famous for our music. Back then, we were involved in the drug trade and would talk about selling kilos of cocaine.

Had a Puerto Rican bitch and I pulled the plug Big bottle on numbers and we call him Nino Yo, one ounce and a pound back in north Memphis I'm a north Memphis nigga till I die, dawg
I used to date a Puerto Rican woman who was involved in the drug trade. I remember a guy we knew who would always win big at the numbers game. We called him 'Nino.' Then I reference buying one ounce of drugs for one pound of money, which was a common exchange in North Memphis, where I lived for a time. Even though I no longer live there, I will always identify as a 'north Memphis nigga' because of the experiences I had there.

Yeah, motherfuck a suit and tie, dawg We don't wear our hats to the back with the five, dawg
I don't like conforming to society's expectations of dressing professionally and wearing a suit and tie. I also don't like the newer style of wearing hats backwards with the sticker still on. I'm sticking to my own style.

Bang, put the plug on chill Told 'em I ain't through yet, hell naw, I ain't retire, dawg I just want a piece of mind, dawg Why you hatin' on a nigga from the city? Lemme shine, dawg
I want to take a break from my hustle and relax for a bit, but I'm not retiring yet. People are always hating on my success and trying to bring me down, but I just want to live my life and do well for myself and my city.

I be drivin' all the foreign cars 'til the day I die Fuckin' all the foreign hoes 'til the day I die Went to hit the dealer, then a nigga drove it out When 'em doors go up, all them panties fallin' down
I love driving fancy cars and having sex with attractive women, and I plan to do both until I die. One time, I went to buy a car and ended up driving it out of the dealership right then and there. The car was so impressive that when the doors opened, all the women around me were turned on and their panties fell off.

Niggas ain't know me then, but 'em niggas know me know When I pull up in the Benz, all the jewels drippin' down I be fuckin' up arenas, all 'em hoes singin' now I be fuckin' with them boys that lift you off the ground
People might not have known me before, but they definitely know me now. When I roll up in my Benz with all my jewelry on, everyone knows I am the real deal. I am so popular that I sell out arenas and have women singing along to my songs. I hang out with guys who can lift you up off the ground, both metaphorically and literally.

I stand out, spent a hun'ed racks to put the band on it Shawty bendin' it over, let me land on it Grabbin' brown bags, Uncle Sam, homie Got the pussy jumpin', dove a HAM on it
I am not afraid to be different and spend a lot of money on my music career to make it successful. When I perform, there are always women showing me attention and allowing me to be intimate with them. I talk about grabbing brown paper bags of money, which is a reference to paying taxes to the government. Finally, I have sex with women so good that it leaves them panting and out of breath.

Young nigga goin' hard If you talk about them cars, fuck y'all like the dealer Now, I did it for my dawgs I be smokin' out the jar like a dreadlock, haann
I am a young rapper who is working hard to succeed in the industry. If anyone tries to talk shit about my success, I don't want to hear it. I am doing this for my friends and family who have supported me from the beginning. I enjoy smoking marijuana with my friends, like a stereotypical dreadlock-wearing hippie.

See, I bossed wit' my mans wit' the plug, put 'em on In the plug, put 'em on, yeah Yeah, East Side for life I'm a real Cleveland legend, I'm a ride 'til the day I die Get high, bury me with my chrome .45 Now tell me, now tell me, do that sound familiar?
I have a relationship with my friends who are involved in drug dealing and have helped put them on to new opportunities. I am loyal to the East Side of Cleveland and will represent it for my entire life. I see myself as a legendary figure in the city, and I want to be remembered with my favorite gun, a chrome .45. I ask if my legend sounds familiar to the listener, implying that I am a prominent figure in their city as well.

If you from Cleveland, you all are familiar If you get money, one hundred, you know that we feelin' you Hold up, bitch, I'm from the land and y'all know that Y'all never should have let me go back
Anyone in Cleveland knows who I am, and anyone who is making money will relate to my message. I am proud of where I come from and people know that. Finally, people should never have let me return to my hometown because now I am taking over and making a name for myself.

Even when I didn't had no plaque I was court side in the Cavaliers throwback I was only nineteen ridin' up Miles Back when I was nineteen turnin' up wild
Even before I was famous, I was still living large and getting access to high profile events, like sitting courtside at the Cavaliers games. I was a wild nineteen-year-old, spending time on Miles Avenue, which is a major road in Cleveland known for having a rough reputation.

I was in the flats when the land slanged goals Ridin' up Satchel when them boys slanged hoes I was on the clear when L came down Leavin' out of work, on to rap it downtown
I spent time in a neighborhood called 'The Flats,' which was known for drug dealing. I also spent time on Satchel Street, where people were involved in prostitution. I was around when drugs like PCP (or 'L') came into the city, and I would leave my job to go perform at venues downtown.

I was in the club when they played "We Ball" And I repped my hood and everybody started brawlin' Back when I was sixteen, I was spittin' sixteen Hoppin' up the Blue Line on 116 Tryin' to get my fifteen minutes of fame, shit changed Now I'm on the big screen like...
I was at a club when a popular song called 'We Ball' played, and I represented my neighborhood, causing a fight to break out. When I was sixteen, I was trying to get noticed as a rapper and would ride the Blue Line train to go to different venues and promote myself. I was trying to get my fifteen minutes of fame, but now I have achieved much more and am seen in movies and television.

Bitch, I'm from the land
I repeat this line at the end of the song to emphasize that this is who I am, where I come from, and no one can take that away from me.

@JHP2001

He seems like a good man. In interviews he talks like a normal White Guy, now that he is doing Rock. He always wanted to do Rock, but he had to feed himself and the family.
