BEAT IT
Machines Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

They told him don't you ever come around here
Don't wanna see your face you better disappear
The fires in their eyes and their words aren't really clear

Just beat it....
Just beat it....

You better run you better do what you can...
Don't wanna see no blood don't be macho man...
You wanna be tough better do what you can...

So beat it...
But you wanna be bad...

Come on children!
Just beat it! (Beat it!)
Beat it! (Beat it!)
No one wants to be defeated!
Show em how funky and strong is your fight!
It doesn't matter who's wrong or right!

Just beat it...

Just beat it...
Just.... beat it...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Beat It" by Machines conveys a message about the need to avoid fights and confrontations. The opening lines depict a threatening situation where the singer is warned to stay away from the area. The suggestion to disappear is given in a rather unclear manner, putting the singer in an awkward position. The strong emotion of anger flashes from the eyes of the group, which makes it difficult to decipher their message. However, the singer immediately gets the clear message, suggesting that he should just beat it.

The next lines of the song continue with the theme of conflict avoidance. The singer is encouraged to run and avoid any physical altercation, with a warning not to be a macho man or let blood spill. The singer is then urged to put on an image of strength, suggesting that it is better to be tough without getting involved in a fight. The chorus part of the song is a call to action for the listener to join in and beat it. It is telling anyone who is listening that it doesn't matter who is right or wrong, but the most important thing is to avoid any conflict.

Can anyone please help? Can't find the info i need anywhere...

I have the new "Maschine MK3 Mikro". Not the larger "Maschine MK3"
I have installed all current software for Maschine MK3 Mikro and Logic Pro X.

First...
There is no "Maschine MK3 Mikro" to choose in the current "NI Controller Editor" software??? So... I used the "Maschine Controller Mk3" because it looks exactly the same in the transport and pad area. "The Mikro and Mikro 2 Controller" do not look the same.
I went through all your custom steps In the NI Controller Editor..... For the "Maschine MK3 Controller".....

Second...
When I get to the setup part of it inside Logic Pro X there is no "Maschine Virtual" Input or Output to choose? There is nothing in the "Output Port" or "Input Port" that says "Virtual" anything? I have even tried to set it up with the Mackie Controller but still never anything that says "Virtual" to choose from. It's just never there?

So i also tried with the "NI Controller Editor" for all the NI "Mikro" products. When it comes time to set up in Logic Pro X, there is never anything that says "Virtual" to choose? So frustrating.
I've been doing this for a long time and usually i'm really good at figuring this out but feels like they sent this hardware out unfinished? The software doesn't work for setting up control in Logic.

Has anyone with a new "Maschine Mikro MK3" been able to figure this out? Do you only get the "Virtual" option with the larger "Maschine Mk3"? Did it come with any other Maschine?
Did Logic Pro X take it out with an update?

I need this transport control inside Logic. And pads would be nice to. But without the "Virtual" option there is nothing i can do.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much. (if there is a link to anywhere explaining this please post it here for me).

YES FINALLY! I was convinced to buy the Mikro MK3 because of you. I was sitting on the fence whether to buy this but none of the Youtubers explained the features properly nor demonstrated the scales, chords, lowering sound volume, applying the FX strips on specific sounds. BUT YOU DID ALL! THANK YOU MY MAN! I subscribed.

I seen, I saw, I responded. I bought this 2 days ago because of this video. Tried Akai Studio black and was using my computer more than the machine.
This is 100% easier for a newbie as myself. I can’t thank you enough!
Keep up the good work
