Frozen
Madonna Sickick Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

How can life be what you want it to be?
You′re frozen
When your heart's not open

Mmm-hmm
If I could melt your heart
Mmm-hmm
We′d never be apart
Mmm-hmm
If I could melt your heart
Mmm-hmm
We'd never be apart (sick)
Mmm-hmm
If I could melt your heart (mm)
Mmm-hmm
We'd never be apart

Mmm-hmm
Give yourself to me (mm)
Mmm-hmm
We′d never be apart (sick)
Mmm-hmm
If I could melt your heart
Mmm-hmm
We′d never be apart

Mmm-hmm
If I could melt your heart
Mmm-hmm

We'd never be apart (sick)
Mmm-hmm

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Madonna Sickick's song Frozen speak of the desire to connect with an individual who is seemingly closed off emotionally. The first two lines set the tone for the song, asking how one can achieve the life they desire when they feel frozen, or stuck. The following line repeats the title of the song, "When your heart's not open," serving as a refrain that encapsulates the main theme of the song. Madonna Sickick then goes on to say that if they could "melt your heart," they would never be apart, emphasizing that it is the emotional barriers that keep people separated.

The repetition of the phrase "Mmm-hmm" at the beginning of each line adds an intimate quality to the song, making it feel as though the singer is speaking directly to the listener. The line "Give yourself to me" speaks of a desire for closeness and trust, indicating that the singer is trying to establish a connection that goes beyond superficiality. The final lines of the chorus repeat the idea that if they could melt the individual's heart, they would never be apart, emphasizing that true connection comes from emotional vulnerability.

Overall, the lyrics to Frozen express a longing for an emotional connection that is hindered by the individual's inability to open up. It emphasizes the importance of emotional openness and vulnerability in establishing deep relationships.

@Sasha Bertold yes, I know all this, but to suggest that they “trained” her?! Would anyone say or suggest that Madonna “trained” Mike or Prince?! Hell no. Of course not.

Madonna attended a performing arts college and when she moved with a boyfriend to NYC in the 70s, she got in with the right crowd, worked at it, met the right people, and became the icon she remains.

Prince wasn’t fond of Madonna. Lenny Kravitz and Ingrid Chavez had written an AMAZING song for the latter (Chavez), as she was a new artist signed to and being produced by Prince. Somehow, Madonna got the song (IMO Madonna stole the song) and it happens to be my favorite Madonna song, tied with “Bad Girl.” The song is “Justify My Love.” After that, Prince had beef with Madonna. You can find the video here on YouTube showing Prince at some countdown music show on VH1 and a Madonna music video/song (“Take a Bow”) is playing and Prince rolls his eyes and asks “Is this going to be much longer?” 🤣🤣🤣

Madonna said Prince smelled like straight Lavender. Just a ton of lavender.

Michael thought Prince was incredible and he also liked roasting Prince or laughing at how petty and competitive Prince could be with him. I feel Prince and Michael had a mutual respect, but not ever a friendship.

Have you ever stopped to think that at the age of 60 she can still understand the music industry and release hits? Incredible!
