Face to face, square up lil' homie time to catch a case
Drop that k, we got to go we can't leave a trace
Drop that bass, what's good mama come at my place
We come hop out smoke up it's all in a blaze
Face to face, square up lil' homie time to catch a case
Drop that k, we got to go we can't leave a trace
Drop that bass, what's good mama come at my place
We come hop out smoke up it's all in a blaze
One, two, three and to the four
I swear to God you can't say I'm not the goat
Four letters, I'm a go getta wit' this Beretta
Time to dump a load, I can't let up
On fiera, this shit gettin' techinal on meta
From the 719 to the 303 light up balas
In the the sky if you feel me, aye
We'll leave your ass fucked the hell up case lookin' like Cosby
Ice on my mind I'm feelin' ballsy
Time to bomb a spirit, Dragon Ball Z
Kamikaze, my heart cold like a frosty
Feelin' like Mozzy this shit can get costly
Yeah, time to drum up, I'm faded time to zone off
Ops on the block catch the sonar
We gon' go far, fool lifted up in the stars
On my mama it ain't my fault
This trouble ain't my fault
Face to face, square up lil' homie time to catch a case
Drop that k, we got to go we can't leave a trace
Drop that bass, what's good mama come at my place
We come hop out smoke up it's all in a blaze
Face to face, square up lil' homie time to catch a case
Drop that k, we got to go we can't leave a trace

Drop that bass, what's good mama come at my place
We come hop out smoke up it's all in a blaze

We'll never know how "Magnum" might've evolved had it been another "Gunsmoke" in duration.

Yet, everyone's entitled to a private life, and perhaps, having one improves his work.

Personally, as much as I like the early stuff, and "Bluebloods", his "Jesse Stone" series is his best.

One can feel the drama in that character.

Intense.

Not really surprising. We as fans have no idea their schedules. Back in the 80's or today in 2023. Hardd not to "burn out" and miss having a "normal life". A little ioronic in a way in that most want to be actors to live that "high-life/Hollywood style". ...once they have it they don't want it. :) Or they get burnt out....

Add, how for attractive females stars there is that "dark side" ....no one talks about...unless it's "sex assult allegtions....e.g. Harvey Weinstairn, Kevin Spacey, Bill Cosby...none proven...powers at be putting them down I believe...I digress...

Loved the original Magnum PI show...worlds better than the current reboot.

Interesting Sellect got to change the character....which was KEY to the popularity of the sohow...in addition to th great writting, character development and chemistry between the actors we could see...can't fake that.

Ironic they did to the reboot's character what Sellect didn't want Magnum to be...."bullet proof"....they turned the charaters into "Jason Buornes" e.g. get into fights and come out untouched and not winded. Sellects "magnum" got beat up and knocked to the ground once in a long while...nice touch. Along with the many "firsts" (e.g. looking into the camera and grinning....first show using a Ferrari...)...Classic show...

Add Selleck is 6'4....taller than most on the cast...as it should be...the main character. Vs the reboot's "Magnum" being one of the shorter cast members....pairing Higgins with Magnum making her a partner and a love interest...heh...

I had the privilege of meeting Tom Selleck on Oahu in 1985, very down to earth person. Very well liked by the locals.

@Lori Miller I never knew that Higgins lost out to Max. I am a huge Magnum P.I. fan because of Tom Selleck. I watched it when it was on the air. I also am a huge fan of Hart to Hart. I do not believe that just anyone could have played Max on Hart to Hart. He had to have the appropriate personality and of course the acting skills to mesh well with the two lead actors. The character of Higgins was very interesting and the actor who portrayed him was excellent. They are two completely different series. I think both series had outstanding supporting actors. I found Max's character to be much more enjoyable however that series was light-hearted and the character of Higgins was very serious and thought-provoking particularly in some of the shows that focused more on his past life. All award shows are subjective to some degree and it is perhaps a matter of preference with the judges but whatever the case, the character of Max on Hart to Hart was equal to that of Higgins in Magnum P. I. As far as "Max" not being excited about winning, I understand why that can be upsetting to someone but it doesn't take away from the excellence of his character on the show. I enjoyed reading your comments and certainly respect your opinion and enjoy sharing my own.

I did as well when he came aboard the aircraft carrier USS RONALD REAGAN. Really nice guy and very much down to earth! I’ll never forget it!

I can't believe that Higgins lost out to Max (Hart to Hart) for best supporting actor.
Higgins was a vital part of Magnum PI. He was in nearly every episode and the show would have been less without Higgins' part.
Max, on the other hand could've been played by anyone. He was a part of Hart to Hart but no where near as important to the show. Hart to Hart was about how much Jonathon loved Jennifer and their coming across murders which they were able to solve. Max was great in that he loved the Hart's and Freeway and helped out where and when he could.
He didn't even seem happy about winning. Just thanked the head guys and got off the stage.
I was stunned and disappointed that he won over Higgins. I don't know how it happened. 😕

As did I in 88.. while filming the last season of Magnum...Got to meet TC, and Rick...only got to see Higgy Baby from a distance...but I'll never forget that day at Waimenalo

Magnum is arguably one of the best 1980s tv shows. I'm watching it right now. Killer is up at bat.

Crazy Ralph

Same here. Loved how each episode was a total crapshoot on either being serious, goofy, or a “who done it?” mystery? The acting and writing was top notch.

Hill Street Blues now there’s another one, and let’s be careful out there.

Whenever Blue Bloods was on TV, my brother would call me and say "Hey Magnum is on TV...". To me, Tom Selleck will always be Magnum.

I grew up with Magnum... Tom Selleck will always be Magnum to me.
