In the 90's she was best known for singing "あなただけ見つめてる" (Anata Dake Mitsumeteru), the ending song for the first season of the anime "SLAM DUNK". After a period of hiatus, she came back to the spotlight in 2017 for her 25th anniversary as a singer with the single "Lie, Lie, Lie", used as the 45th opening for the long-running anime "Detective Conan"/"Case Closed". Since then, she has also provided backing vocals for the band LUNA SEA on their "Luv" album as well as during their LUNATIC FEST tour.

In addition to anime openings, Ohguro's music has also been used in popular commercials, Japanese dramas, TV programs, and as sports team songs. Aside from public performances and talk show appearances, Ohguro very rarely makes public appearances.
