Los mareados
Malena Muyala Lyrics

Te halle bebiendo linda y fatal
bebias y en el fragor del champagne
loca reias por no llorar
Pena me dio encontrarte
porque al mirarte yo vi brillar
tus ojos con un electrico ardor
tus bellos ojos que tanto adore
en alcohol nos embriagamos
que me importa que se rian
y nos llamen los mareados
cada cual tiene sus penas
y nosotros las tenemos
esta noche beberemos
porque ya no volveremos a vernos mas
hoy
vas a entrar en mi pasado
en el pasado de mi vida
tres cosas lleva mi alma herida
amor, pesar dolor
hoy vas a entrar en mi pasado
hoy nuevas sendas tomaremos
hoy
vas a entrar en mi pasado
en el pasado de mi vida
tres cosas lleva mi alma herida
amor pesar dolor
hoy vas a entrar en mi pasado
hoy nuevas sendas tomaremos
que grande ha sido nuestro amor
y sin embargo hay
mira en lo que quedó
The opening lines of Malena Muyala's Los Mareados describe the singer's encounter with a woman who is drinking and seems to be putting on a brave face. The woman is "rare" or unusual, but also "lit up," suggesting an intense, passionate aura. Despite drinking champagne, she laughs to keep from crying, suggesting that she may be struggling with something painful. The singer feels sorry for the woman, yet also sees the electric spark in her beautiful eyes, which she adores.
As the song continues, both women continue to drink and get drunk. They don't care if people laugh at them and call them "los mareados" (the dizzy ones) because they both have their own sorrows to drown. They know that this may be the last time they see each other, making the moment all the more poignant. The singer invites the woman to enter her past, which is full of love, sorrow, and pain. Together, they will embark on new paths, even though their great love has ultimately ended in tears - "mira en lo que quedó" ("look at what's left").
The lyrics of Los Mareados reveal a deep sense of empathy and understanding between the two women. They are not ashamed of drinking and getting drunk, as they see it as a way to face their sorrows head-on. The reference to being called "los mareados" also suggests a sense of outsidership or marginalization. Additionally, the song speaks to the theme of nostalgia, as the singer invites the woman to enter her past and they both lament the end of their love.
