During the summer of 2000, Mandragora Scream (Morgan Lacroix) finally became a group. Morgan Lacroix and Terry Horn started together their journey and between the years 2000 and 2001 they realized their first album "Fairy Tales From Hell's Caves" (released by Nuclear Blast). Fairy Tales is a trip into the Inferno, tormented by passion, anguish and madness, where, taking the place of Virgilio in the exhausted way through the boredom and marthyrdom in Dante's circles, there is an unusual vampire fairy.
In 2002 Mandragora Scream composed the second album "A Whisper of Dew" (released 10th February 2003 by Nuclear Blast). This concept album is based on a vampire story written by Julio Angel Olivares Merino. The CD is released together with the book.
The heart of the Group is centered on Morgan Lacroix - singer, musician and author of the Lyrics, and on Terry Horn - guitarist, composer, arranger and performer of all the music. Other unbelivably fascinating musicians in their style get together with them. Mat Stancioiu on drums&percussions, Jack Lowell Halleyn on keyboards.
Centered into the passion for the particular music, Mandragora Scream finally built up its stronghold. The Group devotes itself to the research of magic motives and ancient tales that accompany them in their journey towards the most bewitched lands, keeping as fixed purpose the passion and the aim of taking the listener inside always more ancient and chivalrous atmospheres.

Mandragora Scream Lyrics

Lightnings light my shade...
...You spectral life of fade.
I can feel your grace.
Leakin' of life,
Livin' my blight time,
Leadin' your eyes.
...I can feel lost inside my way...
Breathin' your night,
I see my mad blood
Burnin' your might.
It's burstin' through your half-light,
Like a gravestone's enlightenin' sigh.
Pale misty lane of pain,
Lightnings light my shade...
Now brings me down insane,
I can feel your grace.
Leavin' a smell of rain...
Leakin' of life,
Livin' my blight time
Leadin' your eyes.
And veilin' my heart, I cry...
I can feel lost inside my way...
Breathin' your night,
I see my mad blood
Burnin' your might.
It's burstin' through your half-light,
Like a gravestone's enlightenin' sigh.
Lucifer's groan, inside my heart can show me a white,
Lowland of snowy life, that will rise in your hands.
It's time to go...
Vivid of light you can't deny,
Now that it's time to go!
In my mind I'll rape your love...
Hear me!
Through the night.
Callin' you tonight.
Who melts with me in a grave...
Lightnings light my shade...
You spectral life of fade.....
The opening line of Mandragora Scream's Blight Thrills, "Who melts with me in a grave," presents a romantic yet morbid image of eternal love, where the lovers remain intertwined even in death. The following line, "Lightnings light my shade," adds a touch of chaos, possibly suggesting that this love was not meant to be. The third line, "You spectral life of fade," is more elusive, but it could point to the elusive nature of love or speak to the impermanence of life. The following lines suggest that the singer is in a state of despair, "Leakin' of life, Livin' my blight time," and that they are haunted by the memory of their beloved, "Breathin' your night."
The chorus repeats the theme of being lost and overwhelmed by the intensity of the singer's emotions. The reference to a "pale misty lane of pain" is particularly striking, conjuring up an eerie, gothic atmosphere. The final lines of the chorus, "Leavin' a smell of rain," could be interpreted as the aftermath of tears or the scent of decay.
The second verse describes the singer's obsession with their beloved, even as the memories cause them pain. The reference to Lucifer feels like an unexpected twist, but it adds to the dark and mystical mood of the song. The final lines, "It's time to go... Vivid of light you can't deny," may suggest that the singer has come to terms with their loss, perhaps through some kind of epiphany or revelation.
