One By One
Mantic Ritual Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ripping at nightfall through cities of fear,

Watching your every move.
Terrorizing those who live in this land,
Screaming inhabitants in pain.

Penetrating from outside, to creep in your land,
Riding on Satan's wings.
Stopping for no one, there is no return,
Casting a spell i remain

As the night passes, and evil arises from deep in the depths of the ground.
No one escapes from the power of terror, metal's black curse will be found.
Chaos emerges to take one by one, All lives to their demise.
Holy lands become taken by force, watch over with our dark eyes.

Shredding the grounds of the lands we invade,
Gathering all who remain.
Taking prisoner those who try,
To escape the power of our name.

Sending the spirit of hells evil vault,
Guiding us in our ways.
Setting ablaze the towns fall flamed,
Escaping from nothing impure.

As the night passes, and evil arises from deep in the depths of the ground.
No one escapes from the power of terror, metal's black curse will be found.

Chaos emerges to take one by one, All lives to their demise.
Holy lands become taken by force, watch over with our dark eyes.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Mantic Ritual's song One By One depict a band of marauding invaders, wreaking havoc and destruction wherever they go. The first verse paints a picture of these invaders as they tear through cities and terrify the inhabitants. The second verse describes the unstoppable nature of their quest, guided by the spirit of hell's evil vault and taking prisoner anyone who dares to resist their power. The chorus repeats the idea that these invaders are taking lives one by one, leaving nothing in their wake but chaos and destruction.

While the lyrics of this song may seem dark and violent, they are actually quite poetic and rich with imagery. The use of phrases like "ripping at nightfall" and "riding on Satan's wings" adds to the overall sense of menace and danger conveyed by the lyrics. The repeated idea of "taking one by one" also drives home the sense of inevitability and helplessness in the face of the invaders' power.

Overall, the lyrics of One By One suggest a world where darkness and evil have taken hold, and where only the most ruthless and cruel can hope to survive. It's a dark and gritty vision, but one that's brought to life with skill and intensity by Mantic Ritual's music.

MANTIC RITUAL IS BACK!!

James Bond

By far the best Thrash Band from the new Wave of Thrash Metal!

David Steel

To everyone who commented on them sounding like a different band: they sound like Mantic Ritual. They are very unique. There is no band that sounds like them enough to compare them to. Yes, they play an amazing 80's thrash style, so lets leave it at that.

Silent Screamer

Well, you can bitch about this but facts are they obviously had some inspiration from the godfathers of metal. It is perceptible. It doesn't mean they're not unique nor that it diminishes anything about their music which is fucking brilliant. I can perfectly feel the early Metallica and Megadeth vibes, even some Slayer but also things from different bands of this era. It proves that the genre is still alive and kicking and the bands we used to listen to as kids had a descendance, and a fucking good one with Mantic Ritual...
