Although born in Germany, Vidal has lived most of his life in Spain. He speaks Spanish as his first language.
In 1990, at the age of 23, Marcos Vidal released his first studio album entitled "Buscadme y Viviréis".
In 1993 he released his second studio album, "Nada Especial", on the label Nuevos Medios; that along with the success of his first album, drew the singer to North and South America. This international recognition allowed Vidal to begin working with Sparrow Records, making Marcos Vidal the first Spanish Christian singer signed to an American Label. His first two albums "Buscadme y Viviréis" y "Nada Especial" were later re-released in the United States under Sparrow Records.
In 1996, "Cara a Cara", his first album under Sparrow Records, was released. It became one of the best selling Spanish Christian albums of all time, rapidly passing 100,000 albums sold. A year later, in 1997, Marcos Vidal released "Mi Regalo" and was nominated for his first Dove Award in the category of Best Spanish Language Album.
"Por La Vida", released in 1999, was a collection of his greatest hits from previous albums.
His next project "Pescador" (2002) emphasized his passion to share the Gospel with people of all nations and was centered around the theme of being a fisherman.
"Alabanza y Adoración en Vivo desde España" (2003), was Marcos Vidal's first live album, recorded in front of thousands of people. In it, he combined traditional congregational singing with more contemporary upbeat rhythms.
Marcos Vidal currently resides in Madrid and pastors the Evangelical Church of Salem, which has led since 1992. He also continues to compose and record music.

Cuando salio este cántico mi hijita tenia como año y medio y fue diagnosticada con esclerosis tuberosa que le provoca convulsiones ademas de tener rasgos autistas, no reconciliaba su sueño pasábamos muchos desvelos, no teníamos para comer para sus medicinas estábamos en muchos aprietos, pero mi bendito Señor nos sustento y aquí estamos mi nena ya cumplirá 11 añitos. Ahora estamos pasando otras dificultades pero sabiendo y confiando que el mismo Dios que nos sustentó en el pasado lo seguirá haciendo hoy y mañana. Te Amamos Señor Jesús

Cuando mi papá empeoraba en una cama de un sanatorio sólo venía a mí corazón y a mi boca esta letra No hago más que pensar en tu nombre ....JESÚS mi descanso. Y no entendí porque no me salía otra cosa , yo quería ayudar y sólo venía esas palabras de la canción
y cuando pasó el tiempo ...
supe : era una de esas despedidas que hieren y espantan.
Pero Jesús fue y es mi descanso...Y hace poco noté que la letra dice No hago más que pensar en tu nombre : JESÚS y descanso....en Él y sólo en Él mi papá descansó y yo pude seguir porque su nombre trae sanidad, esperanza....Y descanso.
