Samantha, I know your hurting and he broke your heart
Dont try to fake it
Your going to lose it you have to go through it
Your will make it If your going to lose it I help you go through it
Lift your head up high girl
You need to be yourself
Sounds like you have given him the best of you
I promise give it some time and it will be alright
We'll make it better
He'll the loser when all this is over
Cry your tears out I'll be there for you and help you go through it
Lift your head up high girl
You need to be yourself
Lift your head up high girl
Cause this will make you stronger
Head up high girl
Head up high girl
Lift your head up
Lift your head up high girl (Lift your head up high girl)
You need to be yourself
Lift your head up high girl
Cause this will make you stronger
Lift your head up high girl (Lift your head up)
This will make you stronger
The song Samantha by Margaret Berger is a song of encouragement for a girl named Samantha who is struggling with heartbreak and feeling like life has no meaning. The lyrics speak to Samantha's pain but also offer her hope that she can get through it with the support of her friends. The first verse acknowledges Samantha's pain and hurt and encourages her not to try to fake it, but instead to go through it because she will come out stronger on the other side. The pre-chorus reassures Samantha that she has given the best of herself to the person who hurt her and that with time, everything will be alright. The chorus then tells Samantha to lift her head up high and be herself because this experience will make her stronger.
The second verse continues to offer Samantha words of encouragement, telling her to cry her tears out and that her friend will be there to help her through it. The bridge then repeats the sentiment that Samantha needs to lift her head up high and embrace this experience because it will make her stronger in the end. The chorus is repeated again, but with an added emphasis on how this experience will make Samantha stronger.
Overall, Samantha is a song of support and encouragement for anyone going through heartbreak or feeling lost. It acknowledges the pain that someone might be feeling but also offers the hope that they can get through it and come out stronger in the end.
