Y ni modo, cada quien su rumbo
Ay que muera todo
Y no te preocupes por
Dejarme solo, a eso de la depre
Ya le agarre el modo
Un suspiro al viento y un
Vieja no le hace que cobre
50 mentadas 100 para que
Sobren, pero ahora se
Quiebra mas primero un roble
Te sentías ahogada
Querías libertades
Me echabas en cara
Las desigualdades
Desde que me acuerdo
Siempre han sido iguales
Mi genio y carácter, cultura y modales
Y hora no me aguantas
Ahora no me aguantas
The song "50 Mentadas" by Mario is a tale of a failed relationship. The lyrics speak of the end of the relationship, with each person going their separate way. The lines "No nos entendimos se acabo/Y ni modo, cada uno su rumbo" translate to "We didn't understand each other, it's over/And oh well, each to their own path." The singer acknowledges that everything has to end, but assures the other person that they shouldn't worry about leaving them alone, as they have already learned how to deal with depression.
As the song continues, the singer talks about drowning their sorrows with a double shot of tequila and 50 insults that they could throw at the other person. However, the singer acknowledges that it's better to let go rather than break themselves in the process. A sigh in the wind and a double shot of tequila/One good woman won't make me rich/50 insults, 100 just in case/But now I'm breaking, like a weak oak tree."
The final verse of the song is the singer addressing the other person, acknowledging that they wanted their freedom and were unhappy in the relationship. The lines "Te sentías ahogada/Querías libertades/Me echabas en cara/Las desigualdades" translate to "You felt suffocated/Wanted freedom/Threw my inequalities in my face." The singer then tells the other person that their personalities, cultures and manners have always been the same and that it's too late to demand change. The lines "Así me aceptaste y hoy quieres que cambie/O aguantas la vara, o a chihuahua al baile" translate to "You accepted me this way and now want me to change/You either put up with it, or go off to dance."
