Marisela's early career was helped immensely by the famous Mexican TV show of Siempre en Domingo by Raúl Velasco and then later expanding into the United States by the help of many other Spanish broadcasting shows such as Cristina, Don Francisco, Sábado Gigante, and many other televised shows famous in the 80's and 90's. Marisela's first record release was titled Sin El a production of Enrique Elizondo and songs from the now well known Marco Antonio Solís who composed all the songs of her first hit album. Thanks to the wonderful song writer/composer and singer Marco Antonio Solis, who is one of Mexico's greatest music artists of all time, her romantic CD was an instant hit. "La Pareja Ideal" a duet between Marisela and Marco Antonio Solis is one of her most memorable songs, being promoted while the two were actually dating.
The romance ended of course because of the love triangle between Marisela, Marco Antonio Solis and Beatriz Adrianna who was also a beautiful rising artist whose album Marco Antonio Solis was promoting.
Marisela is one of very few singers who have managed to survive in the music business only by playing concerts in Mexican venues known as palenques.
Marisela has continued recording great hit songs like, "Completamente Tuya", "Enamorada y Herida", "Sola con mi Soledad", "Ya No", "El Chico Aquel", "Mi Problema" and many more.
In 2007, Marisela released a compilation of greatest hits entitled Noches Eternas with a Mariachi sound to it. She is preparing to release the most waited for production of No Soy Una Mentirosa this year.
Marisela is one of the artists that will always remain a favorite in the hearts of her audience. Now in the heart of a new generation to come that is through their ancestors listening to her songs and becoming fans of her all over again. She is now known as "La Dama de Hierro." To date, Marisela has recorded 14 albums.
Demasiado Tarde
Marisela Lyrics

De tanta soledad
De exigir tu atención
De pedir mas amor
Me canse de aguantar
Conformarme con lo que das
Esta es mi decisión
Hoy te voy a dejar
Es demasiado tarde
Para pedirme perdón
Pues tanto me descuidaste
Que tu paloma voló
Es demasiado tarde
Para salvar nuestro amor
No trates de detenerme
Este es el ultimo adiós
Bien te hará esta lección
Corazón de Don Juan
Tal vez sea lo mejor
Me la voy a jugar
Me canse de aguantar
Conformarme con lo que das
Esta es mi decisión
No la voy a cambiar
Es demasiado tarde
Para pedirme perdón
Marisela's song Demasiado Tarde is about a woman who has grown tired of waiting for her partner to give her the attention and love she deserves, and has ultimately made the decision to leave. The opening lines, "Me canse de insistir, de tanta soledad" translate to "I'm tired of insisting, of so much loneliness," which sets the tone for the rest of the song. The use of the word "insistir" implies that the woman has been trying to get her partner's attention and affection for a while, but it hasn't been reciprocated.
The subsequent lines, "De exigir tu atención, de pedir mas amor," translate to "Of demanding your attention, of asking for more love." This suggests that the woman has vocalized her needs and desires to her partner, but they still don't understand or aren't willing to meet those needs.
The chorus, "Es demasiado tarde para pedirme perdón, pues tanto me descuidaste que tu paloma voló" translates to "It's too late to apologize to me, because you neglected me so much that your dove flew away." This metaphorical use of a dove represents the woman's love and trust, which has been lost due to the partner's neglect.
Overall, the song speaks to the frustration and pain that comes with unrequited love and the importance of self-love and making the difficult decision to leave a relationship that isn't fulfilling.
