Now You Are Mine
Marsheaux Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Something that will steal your stars
Stop now, seat down
It will be too loud
And you can try to escape
Cause now
I can tell you
Like a bullet in my mind
There is nothing you could show
Nothing that will kill your fears
Stand now, come down
You won't be too proud
And you can't try to escape
Cause now
I can tell you
The song "Now You Are Mine" by Marsheaux is a hauntingly dark and intense piece that speaks to the experience of falling deeply in love with someone. The opening lines, "There is something you should know, something that will steal your stars" set the tone for the song, describing how the feeling of being in love can be all-consuming, and even overwhelming. The next line, "Stop now, seat down, it will be too loud," suggests that the intensity of this feeling might be too much for some people to handle.
As the song progresses, the lyrics become even more intense: "There is nothing you could show, nothing that will kill your fears, stand now, come down, you won't be too proud." Here, the singer is essentially saying that nothing can stand in the way of their love, and that the other person should simply accept their fate and give in to the intensity of their feelings. This is a complex and nuanced perspective on love, one that acknowledges both its beauty and its ability to be all-consuming and overwhelming.
Overall, "Now You Are Mine" is a powerful and evocative song that speaks to the complexities of love and the intensity of human emotions. It is a reminder that falling in love can be a transformative experience, one that can alter your entire world and leave you forever changed.
