Wild Angels
Martina McBride Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Between the perfect world and the bottom line
Keeping love alive in these troubled times
Well, it's a miracle in itself
And we know too well what that's about
Still, we made it through, only God knows how
We must've had a little help

Must've been wild angels, wild angels
Watching over you and me, yeah
Wild angels, wild angels
Baby, what else could it be?

Well, it must've been hard, it must've been tough
Keeping up with crazy fools like us
'Cause it's so easy to fall apart
And we still break each other's heart sometimes
Spent some nights on the jagged side
Somehow, we wake up in each other's arms

Oh, must've been wild angels, wild angels
Watching over you and me, yeah
Wild angels, wild angels
Baby, what else could it be?

There are some nights
I watch you while you dream
I swear I hear the sound of beating wings, yeah

Oh, it must've been wild angels, wild angels
Watching over you and me, yeah
Wild angels, wild, wild angels
Baby, what else could it be?

Wild angels (wild angels)
Wild angels

Wild angels
Wild angels (wild angels)

Overall Meaning

The song "Wild Angels" by Martina McBride paints the picture of a couple who have been through thick and thin, in a world that is not perfect. Between the perfect world and the bottom line, this couple tries to keep their love alive. Despite the difficult circumstances they find themselves in, they have managed to make it this far, with the song stating that it must have been a miracle, aided by some wild angels.

The lyrics suggest that in hard times, these wild angels watch over them, as the couple's love continues to exist. Despite the fact that life is unpredictable and sometimes difficult, the couple has stuck together, even on the jagged side, and find themselves waking up in each other's arms. The chorus repeats the phrase "wild angels" to emphasize the idea that something bigger than them has been keeping them together.

The song describes the couple's journey through life together and how despite the ups and downs, they have held on to each other, aided by unseen forces. It acknowledges the reality that love can be complicated but also shows that real love can withstand even the toughest times. "Wild Angels" is a moving tribute to the idea that love can be miraculous, and that even in hard times, we have help in ways that may not always be visible.

@@skillethead6968 To believe that a primitive and scattered tribal society still living in the seventh century could or even should be democratized was either supreme stupidity or a ruse by which to further pillage the coffers of our nation. Personally I think everything those reptilian creatures in DC do and have done since Eisenhower fits the later category. Then there’s Woodrow Wilson and his acceptance of the abomination called the “Federal Reserve”.

Whatever. I’m just sick of the whole GD dog and pony show. “Democrats/Republicans?”

S***!

Good cop bad cop routine.

Recently was in the hospital in critical shape. I was alone sad , worried didn't know if I was going to make it and this song randomly came on one night and I just couldn't help but cry and praise God cause I took it as a sign I had an Angel with me and everything would be ok. And ya know what I'm still here . Happy Easter everyone and To God be the Glory

God bless your good health in the Lord. Melissa McBride played a character that was very smart for walking away safely home with her family. Melissa McBride reminded me of Martina McBride's Wild Angels. ❤
