Feel Good
Marty and Ben Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

I feel so good I wanna sing now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
I feel so good I wanna dance now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
I feel so good I wanna praise now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
I feel so good I wanna sing now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
Si j'étais Assuérus
Tu serais mon Esther
Une femme forte qui se comporte
Mieux que je ne l'espère
Je suis Salomon, t'es la reine de Saba
J'écrirai des cantiques
Avec ou sans musique
Ça n'me dérangera pas
T'avoir dans ma vie est une grande richesse
Tu es celle qui m'aidera à faire des prouesses
Oui, on va traverser des joies et des peines
Qu'importe depuis que c'est toi ma reine
I feel so good I wanna sing now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
I feel so good I wanna dance now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
I feel so good I wanna praise now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
I feel so good I wanna sing now
(Oh oh, oh oh)
True love, sent from above
I need you like a cold hand needs a glove
This feeling, ain't nothing I could be afraid of
I'm peace like a dove
Mazel tov
Close to me like my mother
Close to me like my brother
I don't want no other
I can't wait to see further
(Jambo, jambo)
(Karibu)

(Asante sana)
(Hakuna matata)

Probably not related but, anyone remembers Marty's childhood flashback scenes?

He was at the hospital, his dad was dying, he sings the song "99 bottles of beer on the wall, 99 bottles of beer, take one down, pass it around, 98 bottles of beer on the wall" and the lyrics go on to decreasing numbers. He sings it as he is walking around in the hospital room.

In "Arrested Development" (an older show of Jason Bateman), his niece is riding the school bus and that song plays in background.

(Season 4, Episode 7, timing 01:07 I think)

EDIT: His niece and other kids on the bus, were bad at math subject and were on their way to attend a special tutoring class. Hence singing the song of numbers. lol.

I think only Marty's brother in law, who was standing on the stage, saw Marty getting kidnapped, due to standing on a higher ground and being able to see Marty from afar.

But IF the FBI lady had seen him, then she probably didn't reach out to help due to how Marty so far hasn't openly admitted or asked for her help.

1. Like that time when Marty/Wendy tried to give intel to her, regarding some other criminal activity? But she refused to get it, cuz she felt that Marty was trying to compromise her via helping her out with other cases (which Marty indeed was).

2. Also, at the scene where Ruth gets beat up to near death, Marty tells her how she herself might've kicked Ruth to near death, hence implying, that FBI lady (or her FBI partner) framed Ruth in front of the rich dumb guy, made that guy believe Ruth is responsible for his friends' death.

Seems like it's just one mean FBI lady who sets her sights on catching one criminal and won't easily feel sympathy for anyone else whom she has to step on, to achieve her ultimate goal.

It's just a bit hard to conclude her as being that evil, since she isn't always "vocal" unlike agent Petty was (which makes it easier for us to conclude him as lowkey evil).
She is more of the calm on outside, evil inside type.

If anyone was singing along with the lyrics does anyone know why he switched the lyrics up while singing? If you sing along you'll notice.

I've been around for you
Been up and down for you
But I just can't get any relief
I've swallowed my pride for you
Lived and lied for you
But you still make me feel like a thief
You got me stealin' your love away
'Cause you never give it
Peeling the years away
And we can't relive it
I make you laugh
And you make me cry
I believe it's time for me to fly

Those are the correct lyrics to the song but for some reason Kevin switched "stealing your love away" with "stealing my years away" which kinda pulls from the next line? Anyway I actually like it better.

I think the reason why he won't get private security, is same as why he can't leave the country with his family (with fake identities for all of them).

The cartel wants to have a word? he only can nod and walk along, not refuse them.

Private security or bodyguard is useless if the cartel worker puts a gun to his wife/kids' head and tells him a 2nd time, to "get in the van". Hence he might as well nod "yes" when they say it for the first time.

The cartel that he works for, doesn't give him enough human rights for him to even call this event as a "kidnapping". It is merely, "a trip down to Mexico".

@magellanmax True, but if they weren't doing anything ILLEGAL in the first place, it would not have mattered.

Marty wanted to kick him out for his own safety

Anger is not an expression of the lack of virtue. It's a lack of control.
