Like we don’t exist, a love tale with a twist
Fairytales are richer
A chill went through my bones when you left me here alone
Here and I’m waiting
Waiting for a chance to say
Here and I’m waiting
Give Me Your Love
Before I lock my heart away
Give Me Your Love
Before I let you get away
Give Me Your Love
Its time to celebrate
Give Me Your Love, love, love, love
I can feel your passion roll out,
I’m turning up the volume, please shout
Looks like my pc timed out
Yeah you can be my lady, there’s no doubt
I don’t want answers
To all the things I know, no tickets for my show,
I’m turning up the pressure
It’s time to let me know, turn up your radio
Here and I’m waiting
Waiting for a chance to say
Here and I’m waiting
Waiting for a chance to say
Give Me Your Love
Before I lock my heart away
Give Me Your Love
Before I let you get away
Give Me Your Love
Its time to celebrate
Give Me Your Love, love, love, love
I can feel your passion roll out,
I’m turning up the volume, please shout
Looks like my pc timed out
Yeah you can be my lady, there’s no doubt
There’s no compassion on steal,
The door is closed with no key
I just can’t let you slip free
There ain’t no other lady for me
Give Me Your Love
Before I lock my heart away
Give Me Your Love
Before I let you get away
Give Me Your Love
Its time to celebrate
Give Me Your Love, love, love, love
I can feel your passion roll out,
I’m turning up the volume, please shout
Looks like my pc timed out
Yeah you can be my lady, there’s no doubt
Give Me Your Love
Before I lock my heart away
Give Me Your Love
Before I let you get away
Give Me Your Love
Its time to celebrate
Give Me Your Love, love, love, love
The lyrics of Matt Johnson's song "Give Me Your Love" tell a story of longing and desperation for love. The first verse introduces a love affair that is filled with twists and turns, like a fairytale. The mention of fairytales being "richer" suggests that the reality of the relationship is not as ideal as the singer had hoped. The line "a chill went through my bones when you left me here alone" portrays the deep emotional impact of the other person's absence.
The chorus expresses the singer's desire for love and the fear of losing it. They are waiting for a chance to express their feelings and receive the other person's love. The repetition of the phrase "Give Me Your Love" emphasizes the urgency and desperation in their plea. The singer wants to avoid locking their heart away and letting the opportunity slip away.
The second verse delves into the singer's emotions and their willingness to let go of expectations. They don't want answers or explanations for everything because it only adds pressure. The line "turn up your radio" suggests a longing for a connection or communication with the other person. The singer wants to know if their feelings are reciprocated.
The final verse reflects the singer's unwillingness to let go of their love. They mention the lack of compassion and the closed door, symbolizing the difficulty of moving forward without the other person. They express that there is no other person like them and ask for their love once again.
Overall, the lyrics of "Give Me Your Love" convey a sense of desperation, longing, and the desire for reciprocated love.
