Embrace Each Other
Matt Mueller Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Our leaders claim there's love at home
But then turn around and say
"No, we ain't taking bets no more
'Cause the race has left the gate"

Some of these cops, no, they don't know the pain
That a man might face 'cause of race, yea
But don't stop at men and cops and pain and race
Yea, we're all different now, so let's embrace

Each other, each other, each other, each other
It don't matter, we're all brothers and sisters and others, each other

Each other, each other, each other, each other
One another, one another, one another, embrace each other

Overall Meaning

In the song "Embrace Each Other" by Matt Mueller, the lyrics address issues of love, division, and unity in society. The first verse starts with a critical observation of political leaders who claim there is love within households, but contradict themselves by acknowledging the ongoing racial divide. This juxtaposition exposes the notion that love is not enough to overcome the societal issues that plague us.

The second verse focuses on the disconnect between certain police officers and the pain experienced by individuals due to their race. It highlights the lack of empathy and understanding from some law enforcement officers who do not comprehend the hardships faced by people of different racial backgrounds. However, the lyrics also suggest that the issue of race cannot be limited to just men and police, as it affects everyone in society. The line "don't stop at men and cops and pain and race" emphasizes the need for a broader perspective in addressing these issues.

The chorus acts as a call for unity and acceptance. It urges listeners to see past the differences that separate us and instead embrace each other as brothers, sisters, and fellow human beings. The repetition of the phrase "each other" and "one another" reinforces the idea of collective responsibility and the importance of recognizing our shared humanity. By emphasizing that it doesn't matter who we are or where we come from, the lyrics emphasize the need for mutual acceptance and understanding.

Overall, "Embrace Each Other" serves as a reminder that love alone is not enough to overcome the division caused by race and other societal differences. The song encourages listeners to actively embrace and support each other, regardless of our backgrounds, and work towards a more inclusive and compassionate world. It promotes a message of unity, empathy, and equality as essential ingredients for building a better society.

100%!!!!!! Don’t say even ONE WORD to the cops wo a lawyer NO MATTER HOW INNICENT YOU THINKMOR KNKW YOU ARE!!!!!! Even if you can’t afford one at that moment, or don’t even know who to call, it doesn’t matter...you tell the cops you want a lawyer, that you won’t talk to them wo one...and MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THROUGH W THAT, NO MATTER * WHAT * THEY TELL YOU!!!

Then, ask if you’re under arrest. If they say no, then IMMEDIATELY GET UP AND WALK OUT...AND HEAD STRAIGHT TO A LAWYER IF YOU CAN AFFORD ONE, OR STRAIGHT TO LEGAL AID IF YOU CAN’T!!!!! And, if they DO arrest you, YOU STILL NEED TO KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!!!!!

Lastly... if you do get arrested and don’t/can’t get a lawyer for some reason, JUST SIT TIGHT...when you get arraigned, there should be a public defender in the courtroom to assist you w the process and can probably help you figure out how to obtain your own legal counsel.

As hard as it may be, you absolutely must NOT speak to the cops or any federal law enforcement people, or any other investigator at ANY time wo a lawyer present...and anyone who tries to get you to talk after you say the magic word - “LAWYER” - is breaking the law, and they damn well know it!!!!!

Oh, and if you’re actually GUILTY???? You should still absolutely NOT, under ANY circumstances, speak to the cops or any law enforcement wo a lawyer present, bc you’re guaranteed the RIGHT 1- to an attorney, and 2- to NOT incriminate yourself!!!

PS - Please make sure you ask for a lawyer even if you have NOT been arrested, and even if you have NOT been read your Miranda rights...you do NOT need to have your rights officially read to you in order to partake of them...our Constitutional rights are ongoing!!!!!!

If they don’t release the rest of the story on here, it goes:
The perpetrator went to do the same thing again at another house a couple of months later but was scared off by the owners and dropped his phone on the way out. Police linked the phone to Matthew Muller and when searching his house found stolen items from multiple victims and also lots of duct tape goggles - including one that had Denise Huskins hair stuck on it.
He’d been committing robberies for years and many of his victims had also been called liars by the police. He got 40 years

This is why you don't talk to cops without a lawyer present, no matter how innocent you are. The combination of stupidity, corruption and laziness, will put you and in jeopardy if you don't have someone watching your back.

@iwatchtrashtv213

Yup my dad always told us this "always ask for a lawyer"

@aline16roche

And they say that if you ask for a lawyer, you're guilty. Just an excuse to accuse inocent people.
