Eu venho de lá tão longe
Venho sempre á beira mar
Venho sempre á beira mar
Trago aqui estas codinhas
Aí, trago aqui estas codinhas
Pr'á manhã o seu jantar
Deixa passar esta linda brincadeira
Ca' gente vamos bailar
Á gentinha da madeira
Deixa passar esta linda brincadeira
Ca' gente vamos bailar
Pr'á gentinha da madeira
E a madeira é um jardim
E a madeira é um jardim
No mundo não há igual
No mundo não há igual
Seu encanto não tem fim
Aí, seu encanto não tem fim
E é filha de Portugal
E é filha de Portugal
Deixa passar esta linda brincadeira
Ca' gente vamos bailar
Pr'á gentinha da madeira
Deixa passar esta linda brincadeira
Ca' gente vamos bailar
Á gentinha da madeira
The song Bailinho Da Madeira by Max is an ode to Madeira, an archipelago off the coast of Portugal. The lyrics express a deep sense of longing for the land, with the singer proclaiming that he comes from far away and always finds himself by the sea. He also brings with him cod, a traditional food that he intends to cook for his host's dinner the next day. The chorus urges everyone to let this beautiful game pass by, and join in the dancing for the people of Madeira.
In the second verse, Max praises the beauty of Madeira, calling it a garden unlike any other in the world. He proclaims that its charm is never-ending and acknowledges that Madeira is a daughter of Portugal. Once again, the chorus repeats the invitation to dance, and the song ends with the same joyous refrain, calling out to the people of Madeira once again.
Bailinho Da Madeira is a celebration of Madeira's unique culture and heritage, capturing the singer's love for the land and its people. The song's joyful, upbeat melody and its lyrics showcase the warmth and hospitality of the islands, urging listeners to join in the dancing and revelry.
