Easily one of the most recognizable OC Remixes out there. It's just amazing. While not the song that made me find out about OC Remix, it is one of the first I heard, and to this day, it still never ceases to amaze me. For a song that's a couple months away from it's 10th year anniversary, it's still a fantastic remix. Well done, McVaffe.

Always takes me back to when I first heard this song in the credits of a Newgrounds sprite game. I forget the name of the game but I just recall this song with an image of super sonic and super saiyan goku in the background.

Mmm this hasn't aged well. There's considerable clipping in the bass line and you can painfully hear the tambourine sample looping. It wouldn't pass the judges' panel today.

What do you think the odds are of someone remastering this to use better instruments and samples to remove the flaws? For me this is the definitive version of Ice Cap, but after hearing more modern OC remixes I can't help but notice the flaws of one of my faves...

Yeah but the vibe is totally here. So I can forgive the slight clipping and looping artefacts. I like the slight distortion, makes it sound more raw.

It seems as if people are getting more and more obsessed with sonic (no pun intended) perfection, that they forget about the musical content.

This is the best version i've heard. I really don't care about the imperfections. But then again.. Sometimes i like the demo versions of famous songs better than the released version. :-)
