Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas
Meghan Trainor feat. Gary Trainor Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Let your heart be light
From now on, our troubles will be out of sight
Hmm, have yourself a merry little Christmas
Make the Yuletide gay
From now on, our troubles will be miles away
And here we are, as in olden days
Our faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years, we all will be together
If the fates allow
So hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now
Oh, and here we are, as in olden days
Happy golden days of yore
And our faithful friends who are dear to us
Gather near to us once more
Through the years, we all will be together
If the fates allow
So hang a shining star upon the highest bough
And have yourself a merry little Christmas now
Oh
I said, have yourself a merry little Christmas now

I love how she embraces the simplicity of the music... Unlike some artists who butcher classics. Meghan knows what she's doing!!! Beautiful, thank you!

Indeed. I saw it in The movie called “good morning Christmas” from Hallmark movies. Then I started listening to a lot of versions including the original with Judy Garland which is very beautiful. But Megan nail it as you said with the simplicity and the voice. Stuuuuuuuuniing!!!!! I love it. For me the best of all the versions I’ve listen to previous. Nailed!!!!! Bravooooo.
