When two veteran musicians in the prime of their career met an attractive newcomer with an amazing voice it was a match made in heaven. Mell & Vintage Future are a Dutch trio who play rootsy rhythm ’n Blues & Soul.

Mell is a one of a kind singer with a deep voice that touches the heart immediatetly. Nico Brandsen (Hammond organ) is widely known for his edgy magic with vintage equipment. Ton Dijkman (drums) is considered one of Holland’s finest musicians. In december 2021 he was awarded with the Sena Humble Heroes Award.

Mell & Vintage Future came on the scene officially in early 2016. They began with a strong series of singles that have become staples on Dutch National Radio and released their debutalbum in May 2019. The single FOREVER recently received golden status in The Netherlands.

Early 2021 Mell & Vintage Future released their ‘Covid-cover album’ ROOTS & ROMANCE. Their rendition of Lou Reed’s PERFECT DAY was used by Paramount Pictures in their motion picture THE IN BETWEEN (feb 2022). Mell & Vintage Future’s official second album with original work is released in April 2022. After LOVE TRAIN, WORTH IT and SHINE YOUR LIGHT (which charted in over 60 countries), FROZEN IN TIME is the fourth single of this album. As a rough reference, think ‘Booker T & The MG’s’ meet Sly & The Family Stone and sprinkle in spoonful of Adele and Janis Joplin.
