History:
Lee formed Methods of Mayhem on the eve of his divorce from Pamela Anderson. Their first self-titled album was released in late 1999 and went on to be certified gold. The album featured appearances by Fred Durst, The Crystal Method, U-God, Kid Rock, Snoop Dogg, Lil' Kim, George Clinton and Mix Master Mike. "It's pretty good for what it is…" Nikki Sixx conceded in 2000. "I guess you'd call it rap-rock." The band disbanded in September 2000.
Lee announced that he is reforming Methods of Mayhem, and would start recording in March 2009. Rumors of new members such as drummer Will Hunt, guitarist J3, guitarist Phil X (who contributed to the first album), and the return of touring bassist Marty O'Brien circulated. While an official touring line-up has yet to be confirmed, it is known that each of these members have contributed to the latest album. A live performance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno saw Morgan Rose (of Sevendust) playing drums, DJ Aero on turntables, J3 on guitar and vocals, and Lee on vocals and guitar. There was no bass player. Methods of Mayhem recently have been signed to Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records.

The band's self-titled debut featured a rap metal style, while A Public Disservice Announcement was more varied in style, covering genres such as rap rock, nu metal and dance-rock.

See never believe what you read the shit is spreadin' like a disease
Never feel withdrawn time to move on get your groove on say
Goodbye everything must die solidify and fly to a new level a place where love
Is unconditional physical and non-denominational
Like a snake shed my skin leave my past where
I've been...can you feel what I feel to hold on must be killed
Yeah Yeah, Yeah you! Can you feel what I feel?
Yeah Yeah, Yeah you! Can you feel what I feel?
See the kid rock bumpin' up and down
Your block with no cares long hair swingin' middle
Fingers in the air people stare n point I hit
The joint and laugh - kiss my ass, the past is
More than 10 years I've known from a complete
Unknown to the hot zone, million dollar home
And a diamond ring never thougt I'd amount to
A damn thing, I'm the man sing like Curtis
May mack on ho's like Ruby Ray, its been a
Long time comin' but you know what's happenin'...
Straight pimpin' I'm sitting five times platinum
Like a snake shed my skin leave my past where
I've been...can you feel what I feel to hold on must be killed
Don't cry over what's been spilled, can you feel what I feel?
Yeah Yeah, Yeah you! Can you feel what I feel?
Yeah Yeah, Yeah you! Can you feel what I feel? =2x
