This hits hard for me as it reminds me of when my dog got cancer. She lived to 14 years old and the last year or two was spent going from vet to vet trying to give her every chance to get better but it seemed like every time we took a step forward we’d take 2 steps back. I took her to the best vet clinic in the state and she had to stay in an oxygen rich box for the last few months. Eventually I saw that despite all my effort to keep my friend alive I wasn’t going to be able to do anything but prolong her suffering. With a heavy heart I had her put to sleep in my arms.

i love stories that show symbiotes as something more than "evil human eating killing machines" my favorite story, can't remember which one, described them like children, who learn from their hosts and bond with them, which explains why venom is so obsessed with spiderman, not because he's the perfect host, but because his first host... his parent basically... hurt him and abandoned him and viewed him as a monster, leaving him emotionally unstable and stunted from never being taught right from wrong.

This reminds me of deleted scene from spiderman 3 , when peter got a glimpse of what would happen if he still using venom power, where he saw himself in the mirror and the reflection suddenly turned him into something that's not human and really spooky, and then he immediately remove the suit and put in suitcase. Its a old venom design, but it's like a foreshadowing what would happen to peter if he continue to stay that way.
