In 2010 a 2-song 7" EP was released on Detest and Me Saco Un Ojo. It's currently sold out but should be repressed summer 2011.
Miasmal made their live debut in September 2010 at the Kill-Town Festival in Copenhagen, Denmark.
April 2011 will see the release of Miasmal's first full-length album. This 8-song assault will be released on vinyl by Detest / Me Saco Un Ojo, and on CD by Dark Descent Records. The CD will contain the demo and 7" as bonus tracks.
May/June will see Miasmal tour the US and making appearances on Maryland Death Fest and Chaos in Tejas. Check the live dates for more info!

The lyrics of Miasmal’s song “Mesmerized” describe a harrowing experience of overwhelming fear and pain. The singer’s eyes “burn with infernal rage” as they are “mesmerized” by a “blinding light,” which they identify as “solar fear” - the fear of the sun itself. They feel as though a consuming force is descending from the sky, causing “unfathomable disintegration” and “labyrinths of pain.” Soon, a “twisted shape” appears in the rays of light. The singer then “paint[s] their irises with coal” as they see a “liquid stone of flaming hate.” This fills their mind with embers and transforms them into an unrecognizable, frightening being.
The second half of the lyrics continue to describe the singer’s experience of being overcome by fear and terror. They feel that their senses are dissolving into “piles of ash” as the “horror of living” is consumed by the “horrors of death.” They call to be drowned in a “lunar sea,” indicating that they may be looking for release or escape from the overwhelming sensations they are experiencing. Finally, the singer states that they are “tranquilised beyond repair, beyond regrets.” This final line may suggest that they no longer feel or care about anything, having been completely consumed by fear.
