A prolific writer was John D Loudermilk. The big version here in the states was by Johnny ferguson. Reached #27 on Billboard in 1960. John D Loudermilk put it out himself in 1962 but as the "B" side of Road Hog on RCA

There is another youtube entry of this, but on the Sonnet label, all fantastic sounds created by Joe, I also love the other side, 'Don't want to know' was it the 'a'? where Joe put his echo to good use, before he went off the rails with distortion. I also still have the 45 on Truimph, but clearer versions are now available on Cd, it was well engineed.
