And we'll recall when time runs out
That it only took a moment
To be loved a whole life long
The lyrics of Michael Crawford's song "It Only Takes a Moment" convey a beautiful and poignant message about the power and depth of true love. The lines "And that is all that love's about/And we'll recall when time runs out/That it only took a moment/To be loved a whole life long" suggest that love is not about grand gestures, elaborate plans or material possessions, but rather about the connection that two people share in a single moment that can create a lifetime of love.
The song encourages the listener to appreciate and cherish every moment of love, to cling onto it for as long as possible, because it truly only takes a moment to find true love that can last a lifetime.
