Having expensive clothes doesn't mean she has good taste 🥱😏 I love creative people with their own ideas and unique style where colorful clothing is the pallet in their daily life. Colors are boring and it seems she buys and likes what everyone else and their gma are wearing. I had classic pieces and shoes in my closet which don't fit anymore so I passed them down to my daughter and she loves them. I love fashion that's unique, colorful and out of the cookie cutter trend.

Still getting compliments on my Voltaire handmade Italian riders discovered 25 yrs ago for $10. Handmade cedar (or ash) sole, 1 inch tapered block heel, buffed shine, no rips, tears, holes, or stains. All weather, no creases. Even the tapered toe has NO scuffs. I checked the price about 5 yrs ago...they go for over $200 but to me they're priceless. These add polish to anything. Even my cobbler (that's a shoe repair man for those who "just buy another pair"& may not be aware) said to see quality like this is rare. That's the beauty of one chick's trash becoming this chick's treasure.😊

This video shows the giant gap between different fashion trendsetters, musicians, artists, timeless dressing versus trends. There is no way a long sleeve button up shirt over a band shirt and other long sleeve layer Tshirt is actually going out of style because at this point it's been around for decades and is a classic look.
Same with the riding boots and scarves. No one is giving up a a nearly universally flattering classy comfortable look, good luck.

Honestly, I enjoyed the outfit alternatives. I do find an issue with the delivery, as it feels very condescending and based on personal opinion. Instead of shaming for "outdated" and "tired" outfits, I wish she had given an explanation of why they feel that way. The riding boots outfit is definitely a go-to, safe fall outfit. I agree with the comments that say timeless, but to her point, it truly doesn't feel fresh (I've seen this outfit since 2010). I wish she had given examples of recent Fall/Winter runways to explain the alternative outfit decisions (i.e. silhouettes, leather jackets, boot heights, etc...); that would've explained why these timeless outfits no longer feel fresh. Doing that would have also helped us, viewers, not be so turned off by the aggressive, demeaning tone of "DON'T WEAR IT" that's so prevalent in this video. Again, I do enjoy the outfit alternatives and they really give a subtle update to what we have been wearing for a while. I think that they, the outfits, express an understanding of what's popular now.

I dont mind updating looks that have been around a while. I wish it was presented as, 'if you feel this is outdated, here are ways to update it.' But instead this entire video felt condescending but her backtracking on occasion to try to not come across as prententious and condescending even though she does. Her delivery needs a lot of work.

The fact I have seen her act like this in a few videos now isn't reassuring either.

As much as I would love to be “in style,” I work in a career field that requires “business casual.” Blazer, shirt, black pants, riding boots have been a staple. I think this is cool for people who are more interested in keeping up with fashion trends. However, being able to do so does require time/money many don’t have. Just wear what you want, as long as we don’t immediately judge others. ❤️

I love the long shirt sleeves under the shorter ones. I'm wearing one now. It's a way to dress up work shirts and keep warm, so that style I will not be getting rid of. Also my riding boots. I love them and I always get compliments.

They're a classic staple that will never go out of style. They might ebb and flow with shoe trends, but you'll never look out of date in riding boots. Riding boots are timeless shoes with a unique heritage.

As much as I laid for my 5th pair of leather riding boots....nope. they are hanging in their shoe box forever. Leather boots need reheeling or perhaps redyed but they will last forever. I've had one pair since 2001. Still beautiful.

I used to work as a professional stylist and I understand that women have different body types, what may appear awkward on you may be extremely flattering on other women. Fashion is not about having to follow current trends. Several factors need to be considered: personality, what feels great on that individual, what flatters their body type, what look do they want to project, what type of hairstyle, makeup, accessories do they plan or would like to utilize. I consider other factors like a woman's undertones, eye color, complexion etc. Many fashion retailers sell denim jackets. Just like there are a plethora of women on the planet there are a multitude of ways that a denim jacket can be styled. Some women are able to successfully create an attractive outfits based on some of the staples that you considered outdated.

It's amazing how many "outdated" items are being modeled. As it's been noted, classic, well-made items that compliment one's figure and don't require tugging & cinching will always be in style. I'm a more 'seasoned' sistah & when I have 20, 30, 40 & 50 yr olds complimenting me on my accents (which include scarves I style into anything from a belt, to a wrap, to a pocket flower to a bracelet) & my sense of style, I know I'm good.
I know who I am and what I like & what I don't. To each her own.

When you showed the same shirt in multi colours it really hit home. I take a very small size so when I found something to fit, I bought the style in various colours. Recently I had a clean out and I will not do that again. George Harrison was my favourite Beatle since 1964. Now I buy good quality classic clothing which will not go out of fashion quickly. Accessories or a trendy piece will keep fashion current.

personally i love when people where stuff thats ‘’out of style’’ old trends are always coming back so nothing is ever out of style! i like the uniqueness of people who refuse to be influenced by trends. when you have a style you never wanna let go of it. i’m still finding my own & wearing some things that aren’t ‘’trendy’’ but it’s so much fun experimenting!

I think this is not really true about people being unique because they “refuse to be influenced by trends.” They are wearing what has become the thing that is trendy and acceptable for years— the point of wearing these outfits is to replicate a popular look. It’s not a bad thing, but these people wearing these outfits don’t stand out for being unique. They look like everyone else in the small town they’re probably wearing it in because the outfit is trendy there. They are extreme trend followers, just not up to date.

Order of preference:
George - music and style was sensual and inspired by Eastern mysticism. His sound oozed sex and he transported the listener to paradise. A few of the outfit “fixes” that are in style at this moment look exactly like stuff my mom wore back in the early 90s. Plus, right now it seems like a lot of styles from different eras are fashionable right now. Like the high waisted mom jeans, 90’s boots & short shirts, the onesie things everyone’s mom wore also in the early 90’s, etc. The concept of “what’s in style” is subjective. And I like that now a lot of people don’t have one specific style, they mix-and-match all the time to whatever they like and feel comfortable in. So, I’d say just do you and rock whatever you like ✌🏼🕺🏻

Hi Shea, Glad you brought up the stripe alignment topic. I get so frustrated when stripes and patterns don't line up correctly because I am such a visual person and I will notice it every time, so I end up not buying things I would otherwise love to own. I thought it was just my overly A-type personality and am glad you brought it up in this video because I don't feel so alone with my "obsession" about stripes and patterns lining up on a garment. I found a simple T-Shirt dress in Walmart for $8 with perfectly aligned stripes but often see higher-end items with stripes and patterns out of alignment. The other thing I keep seeing is lined dresses, blouses, and pants stitched incorrectly so they do not fit properly (either the wrong lining size or just sewn in poorly). Lynn

Nothing can be outdated if you love it and enjoy wearing it. It's no one else's business what you wear. You should wear something because you like it, not for someone else to judge. Everything that's "outdated" always becomes "in" a few years later. There's almost nothing new.

theres nothing wrong with outdated outfits or any of the ones youve worn!!
we need to look after our items and wear them with love. We as consumers are pretty much over any type of trends and prefer to mend and fix, rework, spend more at op shop instead of continually updating more clothes which really just seems to go to the op shops these days.
the only time you should be changing clothes is due to weight/body changes/seasons. The only age group who continues to think trends are necessary are the 21-25 year age group.

Teens want cheap clothes so spend too much on fast fashion and anyone over 25 have other priorities in life then spending on fashion as often as those in university/graduates.

I’ve never bought any of these shirts.. the ties in front drove me crazy, the exposed shoulder.. I couldn’t find any normal clothes for almost 2 years now!! I finally just found a ribbed long sleeve shirt at target $8... I couldn’t buy anything from target for 2 years because of the prairie dresses! They still have some but thank god they’ve toned it down 😤😫

Super helpful! I’m tired of buying this that go out of style quickly, which is why I’m now focused on building my wardrobe with good quality/classic pieces. I would love to see a video where you took items that are out of style (riding boots, blanket scarf, cold shoulder tops) and made outfits with them to give them a more current/updated look!
