Harbor Hope
Midnight Choir Lyrics

The path to God
Friends and children
A warm woman's heart
On my road to freedom
I've traveled alone
With no will to see
It's eating me up to look at
All I have missed
It's eating me up to look at
All I have missed
It's eating me up to look at
All I have missed
On
Forsaken lonesome love
Forsaken lonesome love
The lyrics of Midnight Choir's song Harbor Hope revolve around the themes of religion, love, and regret. The opening lines, "Lost my religion, the path to God, friends and children, a warm woman's heart," suggest that the singer has lost his faith in God and has also lost important relationships in his life. The reference to a "warm woman's heart" suggests that he may have lost a significant other, leading to feelings of loneliness and despair.
The next lines, "On my road to freedom, I've traveled alone, with no will to see where I went wrong," indicate that the singer has been searching for freedom but hasn't been able to find it. He seems to be lost and directionless, not knowing what his mistakes were and what led to his current predicament. The lines, "It's eating me up to look at all I have missed" underscore his sense of regret, as he realizes that he has missed out on important things in life.
The refrain, "Forsaken lonesome love," repeats the sense of loneliness and despair, emphasizing the singer's feeling of being abandoned and forgotten. The song's melancholy tone and haunting melody further reinforce the theme of loss and regret.
