The lyrics of Midnight Juggernauts's song "45 And Rising" talk about a hidden truth about the planet that has been known for a long time. The first line, "The planet has a secret", sets the tone for the message of the song. The next line, "They've known this all the while", suggests that those in power or those with knowledge have been keeping this secret for a long time. The following line, "They're drinking all the water", brings to light the issue of water scarcity. With the planet's population increasing and climate change exacerbating the issue, water is becoming a scarce resource. The phrase "45 & Rising" refers to the temperature, which is increasing rapidly.
The repetition of the line "It's 45 & Rising" highlights the urgency and gravity of the situation. The repetition of the phrase "It's Rising, Rising" emphasizes the danger of the planet's condition. The song is a call to action for us to take responsibility for our actions and make a change before it's too late. The song's haunting melody and the somber lyrics come together to create a powerful message, one that is not to be ignored.
