Gimme any beat watch me pick it a part
Minds telling me to leave but I follow my heart
cin't no shuffling the deck get to playing yo cards
Got it down to a science when displaying my art
For me to do this so easy I'm going so hard
Shock em with the flow imma lyrical god
Mookie so perfect yet I'm so flawed
cm I coming back to Earth no I'm headed to Mars
Or maybe Saturn babblin patterns getting so odd
Speach impediment rolling my R's
When you listen to the flow better listen with ores
Cause it's treacherous enamored with the the rhythm now it got me feeling so lecherous
Me they thinking imma a dog so it's nothing for me to fetch a bitch
If this is our time why the fuck yall looking hesitate
Guessing sketching out competition draw something
But it's so hard to tell if people be really on something
Better than the kings lil homie you must be on something
Yeah we locked and loaded if you stepping bet we all dumping
Holes in yo squad
Sick with the aura I'm ebola plus sars
Yeah imma smartie yet I'm going retard
Yeah they say I'm the magician this another facade
Cutting beats real deep so I leave it with scars
Like I do with these bitches
I'm new to these pimpin
I bet they think I'm beautifully gifted it's true when I stick it I leave the pussy suited in stitches
So when I drop my pants they be saying oh lawd
If you looking confused just listen and nod
Imma killer in this game you would think I had mods
Yet I'm broader bringing slaughter to the planet we on
In these lyrics from Mike E. Clark's song "Zombie," the singer is asserting their prowess in the rap game, confidently claiming that they possess exceptional lyrical ability. The opening lines emphasize the artist's skill with wordplay and flow, stating that they can effortlessly dissect any beat presented to them and showcasing their dedication to following their heart in pursuing their passion for music. The metaphor of playing cards suggests a strategic approach to their craft, honed to perfection like a science, despite acknowledging their imperfections and complexities as an artist.
As the verse progresses, the singer delves into a self-assured exploration of their lyrical prowess, likening themselves to a deity in the world of hip-hop with a flawless delivery that impresses and astonishes listeners. This sense of self-confidence is contrasted with a humble recognition of their own flaws, symbolized by using substances like cannabis to reach a heightened creative state and escape from earthly confines to metaphorical celestial bodies like Mars or Saturn, hinting at a desire for transcendence and exploration beyond conventional boundaries.
The lyrics then shift to a more confrontational tone, challenging perceived competition in the rap industry and asserting dominance over rivals with sharp rhymes and a fierce delivery that aims to leave a lasting impact. The artist dismisses doubters and skeptics, asserting their authority in the game with a clever wordplay that references their ability to manipulate beats and lyrics to create lasting impressions. The references to being a "magician" and leaving beats "with scars" indicate a level of artistry and skill that sets them apart from their peers.
In the final lines, the singer adopts a more rebellious and defiant stance, likening themselves to a force of destruction and change in the music industry, ready to take on any challenge and emerge victorious. The imagery of bringing "slaughter to the planet we on" suggests a desire to shake up the status quo and establish themselves as a formidable presence in the world of hip-hop, unafraid to break boundaries and push the limits of creativity.Overall, these lyrics showcase a blend of confidence, introspection, and defiance, illustrating the artist's journey to assert their identity and artistry in a competitive industry, all while maintaining a sense of self-awareness and humility in the face of success and challenges.
