Micheal Trempenau was born in Denmark, and grew up in Vesterbro with his single mother and two brothers, Dennis and Kim. Mike started his musical career singing in a youth group club in Copenhagen called Vesterbro Ungdomsgård, and appears on their first album: Vi lever på Vesterbro (1974). Later he was the lead singer of the Danish pop band Mabel, who recorded four albums and was popular in Denmark and Spain, and Mike quickly became of "teen idol" status. In 1978 Mabel won the Danish Melody Contest with the song Boom Boom and represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest that year. Mabel moved to New York City in the late 1970s to pursue a harder rock career. even changing to a more appropriate band name ("Studs"), but soon broke up. After the demise of Mabel, Tramp met Vito Bratta, guitarist for the band Dreamer, and they formed White Lion.
After White Lion broke up in 1992 Mike formed the rock band "Freak of Nature", which released three albums from 1992 to 1994.
In 1997 Tramp started a respected career as a solo artist.
The style of his music these days is pure rock, reminiscent of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty but with a bit of a harder edge to it. Lyrically he often writes about his life and therefore his songs often span a lot of real, seemingly personal emotions.
There was a White Lion Comeback Album in 2008 with an accompanying tour featuring Mike on vocals and a new, younger White Lion line-up.
On October 5, 2009 he released his seventh solo album 'Mike Tramp and The Rock 'N' Roll Circuz'.
Mike Tramp and The Rock-N-Roll Circuz are currently busy touring to promote their latest album, "Stand Your Ground".

Cause I must know the reason why we say goodbye
Wait just a moment and tell me why
Cause I can show you lovin that you won't deny
Wait and show your lovin like it was before
Cause I won't let that feelin walk out through the door
I said wait just a moment and try once more
So if you go away I know that I will follow
Cause there's a place inside my hear that tells me
Hold out, hold out, hold out
Wait-wait
I never had a chance to love you
Wait-wait
If only our love could show you
Wait-wait
I never want to be without you
Wait-wait
No I never had a chance to love you
Now I only want to say I love you one more time
Wait-wait
I never had a chance to love you
Wait-wait
If only our love could show you
Wait-wait
I never want to be without you
Wait-wait
No I never had a chance to love you
Now I only want to say I love you
One more time
Wait...
In Mike Tramp's "Wait," the singer pleads with his significant other to wait just a moment before giving up on their love. He asks for an explanation for their impending breakup and offers to show them love like they've never experienced. He asks them to remember the love they once shared and try to revive it, as he cannot bear the thought of losing them. He even acknowledges that he would follow them if they decided to leave, as there is a place inside his heart that tells him to hold on, to keep waiting.
The song's message is one of desperation and longing, as the singer desperately clings to the hope of saving their relationship. He pleads with his lover to give him one more chance, to remember the love they once felt, and to trust that he can make things right. The repetition of "wait-wait" at the end of the song emphasizes this plea and drives home the singer's desperation.
Overall, "Wait" is a powerful ballad that conveys the pain of a dying love and the deep desire to save it. It is an emotional song that pulls at the heartstrings and showcases Tramp's ability to convey raw and honest emotions through his music.

Mike, if it were the time to wake the Lion it's that time dude. 80's making a comeback with a new generation of fans. Do what it takes to do a reunion, you still have your voice.

How can singers avoid that from happening? I've seen other singers keep almost the same voice and sing their own songs on the same key as the original recording. Not this case...

Adam Duritz of Counting Crows sounds the same now as he did in 1993. Check out thier new EP Butter Miracle Suite One. It's on You Tube and all 4 songs lead right into one another. It's very cool sounding. Also Adam cut off the dredlocks and lo9oks great in his older years.

Actually there is an Alternate recorded longer versio9n of Wait done by White Lion that is sung closer to this version. It's 7 min long and is really good. Also love Jars of Clay and PFR.
