In July of 2006, they decided to form the duo "Mimi & Teft" to explore and release music based on pop foundations with electronic/dance textures.

Mimi, native Californian, brings an unusual blend of writing and vocal talents from her Filipino heritage and pop influences. Chris, also a native Californian, brings a unique perspective from his experience with synthesizers, pop music, and audio engineering. Even though both Mimi and Chris have heavy-duty musical training, their sound is edgy and maintains a mass appeal.
