After ten plus years of periodic collaboration on poetry, art and music projects, Adam Stolorow (vocals, keyboards) and Baxter Holland (bass) arrived in Brooklyn by way of late 90’s Providence and the requisite diet of utopian thinking and freak flag waving. What started in Chicago as an experimental ripple of drums, cheap keyboards and onstage loops between Stolorow and drummer Matthew Berland in 2004 became a focused vibrational wave by the time it reached the coast. Increasingly, the Miracles sound threatens to burst living through the brick and asphalt of the metropolis.
With the addition of Chicago transplant Gabriel Fowler on drums in 2006, the re-formed trio went almost immediately into New York’s legendary and now defunct Funcity studio to record “Pioneers” with producer Wharton Tiers (Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore, Unrest), which the band self-released as a limited edition silkscreened 12” in 2007. The Funcity session was followed by visits to Brooklyn’s Civil Defense studio, where the band recorded Colony Collapse (Creative Capitalism) with Jeremy Scott in 2007 and 2008. Fowler left the band in 2008 to pursue other projects and Amanda Huron (Vertebrates, DC) rotated into the mix, writing, touring and recording the Ovum EP (Creative Capitalism 2010). Drummer Chris Carson joined the band in late 2009.
Miracles work in skyscrapers but worship like beasts.
Here I Go Again

A scent like perfume from your lovely hair
I said that I do adore
My heart said to me, don't walk head on into misery
Hey, with your eyes wide open can't you see?
A hurts in store just like before
Here I go again never thinking of
The danger that might exist
Disregarding all of this just for you
I ignore the detour sign
I won't stop until you're mine
I'm past the point of no return
Girl, you walk by and I said to me, myself and I
Now we've got to give it one more try
I know somehow the time is now, right now
Oh whoa, here I go again walking into love
Here I go again walking into love
Here I go, here I go
Here I go, here I go again
The lyrics of Miracles' "Here I Go Again" depict the singer's choice to ignore the danger and potential heartbreak of falling in love once again. The song begins with the singer noticing the object of their affection and being mesmerized by their laughter and scent. Despite warning signs from their heart, the singer cannot resist and admits to adoring their love interest. The chorus repeats the phrase "Here I go again" as the singer acknowledges that they are entering into a potentially risky situation without hesitation.
The second verse continues with the singer disregarding all detour signs and being determined to make their love interest theirs. The singer feels that the time is now and resolves to give it one more try, regardless of what the future may hold. The chorus is repeated, reinforcing the theme of the singer willingly walking into love, despite the potential danger.
Overall, the lyrics of "Here I Go Again" convey the idea of taking risks in love, even if there is a possibility of getting hurt. The song highlights the excitement and vulnerability of falling in love, implying that sometimes the risk is worth taking.

This is ,to me is, the definitive love ballad. The melody, strong lyrics, that all tie into the chorus, makes this the perfect love song, that takes us where we all have been, and will probably go again. Nothing is wasted, and it has always made me wish I had thought of this to write. This is the genius of song writing...
