The duo makes use of their voices and instruments in a way that make you feel like having entered a hidden place when listening to their music. On their debut EP the dark and bright are set against each other and the differences between the ambitious grandeur and the simple and naive gets blurred into almost non-existing. Everything is connected and framed into the same picture that Mire Kay has chosen to name Fortress, a five song EP that marks the beginning of one of the most interesting constellations we’ve heard in a long time.
"When closing your eyes you will never know where you will end up. Maybe somewhere between the roar of a capital city or beneath a bridge where you can hear the water murmur. You will maybe find a link to your home or to the continent, or you might just find the world of Mire Kay. It is a place where things are simple, where fragile sounds whisper in the spruce tops of trees and memories become as real as you remembered them to be. Adorned by luminous and vivid colors, this place is where you will find the presence of our music. Don’t expect to find answers but instead an urge to start asking."

Mire Kay Lyrics

I will be looking for proof in the soil
Shadows are black, their choruses, they turn
In the evening light
They washed away the evidence
In the river joy
Nothing is left of it
Just the pain of guilty eyes
The lyrics of Mire Kay's song "Industry" explore the concept of guilt and the search for truth. The first two lines suggest that the singer is not relying on external guidance or conventional moral standards to determine what is right or wrong. Instead, they are relying on the "soil" or tangible evidence to guide them. This hints at a deeper search for truth that transcends societal norms and the superficiality of appearances. The following lines describe the shadows and their dark, haunting quality. The singer seems to be suggesting that these shadows represent the corrupt aspects of society – perhaps the powerful individuals or institutions that act in their own self-interest rather than for the greater good. The shadows' choruses turning suggest a collective complicity in this behavior.
The second half of the song shifts to more personal themes. The singer refers to washing away evidence in the river of joy, suggesting they are trying to suppress their own guilt or wrongdoing. Yet, nothing is left of it – the guilt remains, and the singer feels haunted by their own actions. The last line, "that I follow," suggests a sense of personal responsibility and accountability. Overall, the lyrics are thought-provoking and encourage the listener to consider the concept of guilt, truth, and societal corruption.

After listening to this and the one live performance I could find a gazillion times, here's the best I could come up with for lyrics:
Even if the dark wouldn't guide me
I will be looking for proof in the soil
Shadows are black, their choruses, they turn
In the evening light
They washed away the evidence
In the river joy
Nothing is left of it
Just the pain of guilty eyes
And I follow, follow... them down
I remember the time
When the dark felts were high
We were trampelling lines
Looking up at the sky
Where is the future
We long for in life
Miss you from the bottom of my heart
And as the light of day moves faster I feel,
The loss of...
They washed away the evidence
In the river joy
Nothing is left of it
Just the pain of guilty eyes
And I follow, follow... them down
I remember the time
When the dark felts were high
We were trampelling lines
Looking up at the sky
When we cease to exist
When we pardon our blessed
When we lie asleep
No pain or gods

Thank you Dark. I love sad, haunting music but hate the hurt and suffering that the artist "People like us" have to go through to create these beautiful songs.
