Before I Go
Miss Fortune Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

We'll wait and see this century,
Your house is green, plants a flower an hour and we may never see eye to eye.
It sounds absurd, she's got these birds gently perched all around her apartment
And she sleeps with my head, but I just watch from the corner of the bed.

You've got new trouble, you let it show.
I'm not a genius, but how much is there to know before I go?
Where have you been this millenium?
Dad's tossing gin, can't relate to anyone, and for that, I apologize.
But believe me, it ain't no thing, we've all got genes running though our family,
She's well aware and tosses back much more than her hair.

You've got new trouble, you let it show.
I'm not a genius, but how much is there to know before I go?
To know before I go?
To know...

It's not about me anymore...
It's not about me anymore...
It's not about me anymore...
It's not about me anymore...

You keep it bottled up inside, you've got trouble you can't hide.
You could just wonder where you'll go, but how much is there to know before I go?

Before I go...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Miss Fortune's song Before I Go are complex and nuanced, with layers of meaning that gradually reveal themselves upon closer examination. At its core, the song is about the fact that we can never truly know another person's experience, no matter how close we are to them. The first verse, for example, describes someone who seems very different from the singer - they have a green house, they're obsessed with birds, and they sleep with the singer's head without really acknowledging their presence. Despite these differences, however, the singer still cares about this person and wants to understand them better.

The second verse broadens the scope of the song, moving from an individual relationship to a more universal perspective. The singer talks about their family and how they struggle to relate to one another, but ultimately acknowledges that we all have our own complex familial relationships to navigate. The chorus ties these two themes together, asking how much the singer can truly know about the people around them before they have to say goodbye.

The bridge of the song is perhaps the most poignant, with its repetition of the refrain "it's not about me anymore." This suggests a moment of self-awareness for the singer, as they realize that their desire to understand others is not about themselves and their own experiences, but about simply being present for the people they care about.

my favourite ADC because of the sheer number of good builds that she has. something to consider for her is taking overheal, as her W movespeed doesn't get cancelled while she's shielded. Will need manamune or Essence Reaver to offset the mana loss from Presence of Mind though.

Great showcase overall

Lord Balzamore

Hey King, long time viewer, I've been playing MF recently and go a similar build, and I do E max into W max. Q max only improves the flat damage it does, and MF has bazonkers AD ratios so you benefit more from the E max as a tool to 100% hit comets and make it a generally more useful ability. I then take approach velocity in my secondary tree to allow me to get an E auto Q (ideally bounce for double passive).

oh hell no

The Ocean Man

I remember being autofilled Bot Lane and played a flawless MF game. Her Q is the perfect poke ability because of the insane range and damage on the bounce.

Andy Brummel

perfect game nice! you and kazzix hyper carried. Soraka did a good job healing in the early game. GG
