Mistah F.A.B. was born and raised in North Oakland and raised by his grandmother and his mother, who sometimes worked four jobs to support him while his father was incarcerated. When F.A.B. was 12, his father died of complications of AIDS. Around that time, F.A.B. started writing and rapping. In high school F.A.B. competed in freestyle rap.

I'm glad he switched it up a little. I just wish he'd have done more like this around 08 or 09 when the bay still had eyes on it. Hyphy was cool, but everyone doing it made it seem like that's all the bay could do. I don't think people understand how much real lyricism is in the bay.Mac dre made a lot of grwta gangster and party music but he always came with bars. His shit was always pretty complex and ahead of his time. Fab is kind of the same just not quite as ahead of his time. It seems like people only think of the east coast when they think of technical and well crafted rapping, but the bay has it too.
