Mister Loveless have influences that range from the melodic tension building dynamics of The Pixies, to the crooning testimony of The Smiths. They have the ability to move the listener into a frenzy and celebration of youth and disorder then, within moments, take them to the brink of solemn tears. It is this double nature, one of joy and regret, that leads spectators to put their drinks down and approach the stage with moth-like tragedy.
Mister Loveless are currently setting up the release of their album, Grow Up, for Sept 11th, 2012. The next single, “Wild Summer” is set for release on July 17th, 2012. The album will stand as a call to arms and a challenge to a generation that will have to find their place in the world and make it their own.

Curfew
Mister Loveless Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I’ll be alright
I’ll be home
Later tonight
I won’t end up dead
I won’t end up in jail
I just need time
To see my city unveiled
Never seen our city at night
Never felt it illuminate our lives
Never seen our city at night
Curse you, curfew
There’s a car outside
Someone is shouting my name
I crack a nervous laugh as we drive through the rain
The stereo plays only through one side
I’ve never felt this before I’ve never even tried
We’ve never seen our city at night
We’ve never felt it illuminate our lives
We’ve never seen our city at night
Curse you, curfew
We were on our own
Curse you, curfew
The lyrics of Mister Loveless's song Curfew describe a desire to explore and experience the city at night, despite the imposed rules of curfew. The singer expresses confidence in their ability to handle themselves and avoid trouble, stating that they just need time to see and appreciate the city in its nighttime glory. However, there is also a sense of fear and danger, as evidenced by the car outside and the rain, and the implication that the singer is engaging in risky behavior by breaking curfew.
The chorus of the song, "curse you, curfew," highlights the frustration and restriction of being confined to a certain time frame and the desire to break free from those limitations. This is further emphasized by the repetitive refrain of the singer never having seen the city at night and the implication that the curfew is a barrier to experiencing the fullness of life and the world around them.
Overall, the lyrics of Curfew express a desire for exploration and a freedom from the restrictions imposed by society, while also acknowledging the potential danger and consequences of such actions.
