2) Mitchell is a Dutch soul singer, akin to Maxell and Erykah Badu, who had a hit single with "Not Around" in 2001.

3) MItchell was a lo-fi pop-punk band from New Port Richey, FL

Influenced by classic punk bands like The Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag and The Misfits, Mitchell rose from the ashes of Paul Goodno and Dustin Anderson's 2-man punk/metal band super*room*sedative. Looking for a fuller sound and a way to jam live, Dustin and Paul recruited their old college friend Jay Kincer to play bass. I relate to this song in a good way, sort of. I'm dating somebody who has Schizophrenia and suffers from suicidal thoughts and I normally end up crying because they are sad. I just found this song again, and noticed how much the lyrics relate to me.

Thank you so much for posting this. This song is my grandfather's legacy. He loved life so much; loved food, good company and made everything seem alright. He wasn't scary, he made even me feel at ease, even wanted. He sang this song to my mother and she sang it to me. He recently took the journey. I miss him so much. But the point of this is that I sang this song to him on his deathbed to say goodbye and when I came out my mom went in. When she came out she said he was smiling when she saw him. <3 I love you Grampa!

I love this sweet version. When my first granddaughter was born she was the joy of my heart. Her sweet smile and sparkling eyes always made me think of a "sunshiny day" so that's why I sang this song to her when she was little. She will be 20 tomorrow but her smile still brightens my day.

This was my moms favorite song, every time I hear it I can't stop myself from crying, and my heart aches so bad...... My entire childhood I was never away from my mom..... I was laying right next to her when she passed away in her sleep from lung cancer...... She used to sing this song every day, but now it is a well sharpened knife that plunges into my family's hearts whenever the song is played

My grandpa used to sing this to me before he passed. He had a cancer relapse that attacked his entire body and we didn't know until it was too late. The last thing he said to me was "you did good". I miss him so damn much. He was the best man you'd ever had met. He'd have never hurt a fly.
