1. is an was formed in 1975 and recorded the songs "Can You Feel The Funk, Gold Of My life, Am I Imposing and Down And Out on the Rock-Way label, all of the songs were produced by Elijah Cole Jr. He never authorized any of the mixed emotions songs to be released outside of the USA but bootleggers and piraters stole and somehow released the songs in Europe without his knowledge, that was before the internet and it was easy to bootleg records without the knowledge of a small label, his son Jason cole is now selling his records over Ebay. Jason did not know that his fathers records were being sold without his knowledge until 2002 by a pirater name Nickolas Magneron of Soul Patrol Records in France and had the nerve to call their CD "Can you feel the funk" the same name off the musical tracks they were pirating.

Schön, dieses Lied nach bestimmt rund 35 Jahren einmal wieder zu hören!
Ich sage es mal so: Wenn im Autoradio in einem Sender für "gesetztere Altersklassen" auf einmal der Soundtrack Deiner Jugend dudelte, weißt Du, daß die Jugend schon ein paar Wochen vorbei ist. 😂
Ich erinnere mich gut, daß damals diese Art von Musik etwas belächelt wurde, aber die Zeit hat uns eines Besseren belehrt. Diese Musik ist um Ligen besser, als das, was man (auch deutschsprachig!) heute so hört!
Ich fand dieses Lied schon damals gut - und das gilt bis heute!

Ich bin gerade sowas von begeistert in Euphorie für die drei Drafi Deutscher-Meisterwerke "You Want Love", "Just For You" und "Guardian Angel".
Das sind für mich Jahrhundert-Musikmeisterwerke !
...ich würde eine Menge dafür geben, dabei gewesen sein zu dürfen, als Drafi Deutscher diese Songs geschriben hat - ich hätte ihn dabei mit solcher Ehrfurcht und Bewunderung beobachtet.
Er sagte ja selbst aus, dass er auf Koks war, als er diese Songs schrieb......das macht das Ganze irgendwie noch intetessanter und faszinierender.
Gemessen an diesen Songs, muss der Mann ein musikalisches Genie gewesen sein. Das macht die Tatsache um seinen frühen Tod umso tragischer.
Mit seinem Potential zum Songschreiben hätte er wohl noch viele weitere Meisterwerke komponieren können, wäre er bei guter Gesundheit geblieben.
