Sunday
Moby feat. Sylvia Robinson Lyrics

Dark cloud has come into the way
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
They sing to the darkest night
Long before
They sing to the darkest night
Long before
Why can't I face it?
Am I too blind to see?
Why did he go?
Why did he leave me?
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
Ooh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Ooh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Why can't I face it?
Am I too blind to see?
Why did he go?
Why did he leave me?
Why can't I face it?
Am I too blind to see?
Why did he go?
Why did he leave me?
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
Sunday was a bright day yesterday
Dark cloud has come into the way
Ooh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Ooh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Ooh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
Ooh
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, la
The lyrics in "Sunday" by Moby feat. Cold Specks describe a bright day ruined by a dark cloud, which is the metaphor for the end of a relationship. The repetition of "Sunday was a bright day yesterday" emphasizes the idea that the past was brighter, better, and happier. But at present, the dark cloud has come to ruin the sunny disposition.
The lines "They sing to the darkest night, long before" are interesting because they add a layer of mystery and wisdom to the song. The lyrics imply that people have been singing to the darkest night long before this particular heartbreak, suggesting that sorrow and grief are universal human experiences.
The repeated questions "Why can't I face it?" and "Am I too blind to see?" convey the singer's confusion and inability to accept the reality of the relationship's end. The lines "Why did he go? Why did he leave me?" show the singer's sadness and sense of betrayal.

This song and whole album means so much to me. Fell in love with a lovely girl who introduced me to Moby. Great memories, great sound, great music, good times. This songs was always one of my favourites of the album. I like the voice, how it sounds, the phrasing, beautiful.

When I first saw the video for "In This World," I was so touched by the plight of the little aliens. I was aware of this song but just know discovered there was a video, a sequel to "In This World." I'm so glad the little aliens were finally noticed, even if they decided a life of fame wasn't for them in the end.
