1. Moderns (also known as 'The Moderns') was a mod revival band from Sweden that existed from 1979 to 1981. It was made up of three high school friends that had previously served in the british invasion cover band Buddyboys. They self-released an EP, "Got to Have Pop", in January 1979. They also released their final 45 "Ready for the 80s" in 1980 and-- after a successful tour in the UK-- their only LP "Tro, Hopp & Fruktan" in 1981.
2. The Moderns was a garage rock band from Australia. Samuel John Rees fronting the band, Willi Hamilton wielding a 335 high in the air, Andre Franco slapping the bass and Swanny hitting the hell out of his skins; The Moderns are dirty Gold Coast rockers who are fast becoming the best live rock band in Australia.
After playing their first show in September of 2007, the four of them can now be found loudly unleashing their flavour at every divey dingey club on every corner of every town.
They've been referred to as a glass of coca cola, for some would say, they; 'looks kinda dirty, but go down a treat'.
3. The Moderns was an industrial dance band from Wichita, Kansas (1980's)
4. MODERNS is the Los Angeles-based synth-pop duo of Christopher Fudurich and Rosie Okumura. Fudurich is an engineer, multi-instrumentalist and analog enthusiast. As a producer, he has worked with a variety of pop artists but MODERNS is his first collaboration with his own musical output. Okumura is a songwriter, vocalist, and performer who has partnered with veteran producers. Musically, MODERNS is synth-pop built on an organic foundation.
Jarre
Moderns Lyrics

Don't you wanna keep safe when every heart is losing a war?
I put my foot down
Raise my voice up
Oh oh
You don't care about it now
You don't care about it now
My foot down
Raise my voice up
Oh oh
You don't care about it now
You don't care about it now
I just wanna hear you when sorry doesn't cover your words
I don't think you mean it when nothing ever happens for sure
I put my foot down
Raise my voice up
Oh oh
You don't care about it now
You don't care about it now
My foot down
Raise my voice up
Oh oh
You don't care about it now
You don't care about it now
The lyrics to Moderns's song "Jarre" reflect a desire to stand up for oneself and others during difficult times. The opening lines of the song ask if the listener wants to be brave and keep safe when others are falling apart and losing a war. The lyrics then go on to describe the singer's determination to make their voice heard and to not let the words of others go unsaid. The repetition of the lines "I put my foot down, raise my voice up" emphasize the singer's resolve to take action and not be ignored.
The second verse of the song continues the theme of standing up against insincerity and platitudes. The singer expresses a desire to hear genuine apologies and to not be left uncertain about what will happen next. The repetition of the lines "you don't care about it now" after each chorus serves to emphasize the frustration of the singer with those who do not take their words seriously.
Overall, the lyrics of "Jarre" convey a sense of urgency and a call to action. The song encourages listeners to speak up and stand for what they believe in, even when it may be difficult to do so.

Wow, I always felt this song had some kind of uncanny vibe to it and something that would fit the horror or dystopian genre really well. That being said this is one of the most satisfying music videos I've watched, I love the dark tone of the narrative, the unconventional animation style and music - great combination all round. So glad to see the song getting attention even a year after its release.
