Overall Meaning

The lyrics of MohBad's song Weekend describe a lifestyle of making money and partying that the singer and his crew enjoy every weekend. MohBad invites his listeners to join him in his revelry and experience a good time. The chorus "Making money every weekend, so me I no dey see them" suggests that the singer is making enough money to not be bothered by the opinions of others who are not living his lifestyle. He adds that he is not interested in looking at ugly faces or people who are not living the good life.

Further, MohBad references Soweto, which is a South African township famed for its love of music and dance. He also makes a tribute to the late Nigerian musician Sound Sultan, who was known for his socially conscious lyrics and was a beloved figure in Nigerian music before his death. The chorus is catchy and easy to sing along to, further adding to the appeal of the song.

In summary, Weekend by MohBad highlights a lifestyle of partying and making money, inviting listeners to join in the fun and not worry about the opinions of others who do not share their good fortune.

If you are seeing this in 2090 i was here in 2023, mohbad was an amazing artist, he was super talented and had a son, unfortunately, the evil label record he was signed to Marlins record they wanted to introduce him to doing drugs and some other things but he refused and left the record label, the person in charge of the label Naira Marley then swore to make him pay because apparently the label was more like a cult so you cant leave, but smmohbad left anyways, since he left, they 😢turned his life to living hell, they beat him up make him live in fear until finally they killed him in September 2023, making his wife a widow and his son fatherless..... we staged a peaceful protest because in Nigeria as at when i am writing this, the country is lawless and evil people get away with their evil deeds thus we feel with our protests the government will wake up and justice will prevail 😢...
We hope to get justice for mohbad 😢....

I hope by 2090, the world has become a better place and Nigeria has become a country where people are accountable for their evil deeds and where people no longer live in fear and poverty......

I hope your generation have the fear of God 😢and you all are good people because in my generation good people were not much😢😢😢...

May God bless and protect us all... AMEN 🙏
Be Good it pays to be GOOD
