Demoniac evolved from the death metal band Purulent Obduction (1990-1993) which had members Occulta Mors, Necromaniac and L.O.N.S. Blacksoul (later Gaamalzagoth, real name: Mirko Schmat) joined in mid 1993. In January 1994 Necromaniac and L.O.N.S. had been kicked out and later formed Andras while the remaining members continued as Moonblood after releasing the only Demoniac-demo that was recorded still together in autumn/late 1993 (second demo comes from VHS rehearsal audio rip.).
The band only released vinyls and cassettes, Any CD pressings are bootlegs. Moonblood have recorded over 13 rehearsal tapes that at no time were any official releases and they're only done for the band members to recall their songs since there was never a usual rehearsal possible with one guy playing all instruments and they've only recorded their songs to remember for future studio sessions. A few tapes/recordings might have been spread to friends and due to massive tape trading activities of one of the members but those were the only copies that were spread among the tape trader scene.
Moonblood has split up; however, it is not known when the band actually broke up. Their last demo "Dusk Woerot" was released in 2003. Recorded in September 2000, the band was officially already dead when this recording has been done.

And the sun was swallowed by a total eclipse
Their iron weapons still forgotten on the battleground
Our forces were too strong and our war cry frightening
We killed their best warriors during the first attack
Lightning and thunder were on our side
And the rain forced them to defense
We did summon the winds
Took the defenders high into the air
Dead bodies came bleeding back on the soil
Conspired of the forces of maliciousness
Our greedy blades and thirsty axes
Did wait for the sign to attack
The horses stamped evil with their hoofs
Fire streamed out of their nostrils
Fire was their diabolical breath
The monks of the dark brotherhood did summon the forbidden forces
Our enemies fought proud, but they couldn't win
Our dark brotherhood was chosen to beat
The Christian bastards
The last final battle was the decision who will rule the eternity
We did run against the enemies' defense lines
And lightning and thunder fought on our side
Powerful we've beaten on the defending Christians
Warrior and warrior did fall in our rush of blood
The burning arrows set their camp on fire
And the ground was wet from blood
Then came our horsemen
Upon black horses, who spit fire
They killed the last remaining fighter
Slaughtered Christians, dead like their lord
And we watched our work, a picture of horror
... Then came silence...
The lyrics of Moonblood’s track ‘Then Came the Silence’ are intense and paint a vivid picture of war and victory. The verses are an account of a war with a Christian army waged by a dark brotherhood. It seems that the dark brotherhood was successful in defeating their enemies as they were too strong for the opposing forces. Lightning, thunder and rain all played their part in the battle and death was inevitable. the lyrics suggest that the victory was a result of the dark brotherhood summoning forbidden forces and their weapons waiting for the signal to attack. Horrific images of dead bodies, burning camps and horses spitting fire follow. The last line ‘Then came silence’ highlights the death and destruction that was left behind, and the absence of any sound or signs of life.
In summary, the lyrics of ‘Then Came the Silence’ tell the tale of a successful war against the Christian forces waged by a dark brotherhood that used magic and strategy to achieve victory. Death and destruction was the cost and the final line speaks to the aftermath of the war, the silence that followed with nothing but death and decay to be seen.
