Break
Morning Call Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I have questions to be answered,
answers to be questioned,
with lessons to be learned.

You need issues to be lost,
losses to be issued
never to return,
They said, im better off without you,
better off with anyone, anyone but you.

This wont begin without endings..

Break the glass,
incase of emergency,
see right past,
all ive made for you to see

I have reason to believe
your reasons unbelieveable,
read throught your eyes

You need this song to remind you
of wrong you did behind me
handfed by your lies.

Second guessing everything she ever told me about this
lying face down introducing myself with tomorrow.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Morning Call's song "Break" delve into themes of questioning, loss, and self-discovery. The opening lines suggest a sense of introspection and a desire for clarity. The singer has a series of questions that need answers, but also acknowledges the need to question the answers they receive. They also have lessons to be learned, implying a willingness to grow and evolve.

The second verse shifts focus to another person, possibly the subject of the song. They are encouraged to let go of their issues and losses, as these will only serve to hold them back. The line "They said, I'm better off without you, better off with anyone, anyone but you" suggests a relationship gone sour, with outside voices influencing the perception of the singer's worth and the potential pain inflicted by the other person's actions.

The chorus reinforces the idea that the situation at hand cannot progress or move forward without confronting and acknowledging the endings that have occurred. It urges a breaking of the glass, symbolizing a breaking of barriers or a release from confinement. The emergency referred to here could be a metaphor for the emotional turmoil or the need for a dramatic change.

The third verse reveals a sense of disillusionment. The singer expresses a reason to believe that the other person's reasons are unbelievable, potentially implying a pattern of lies and deceit. They claim to be able to read through the other person's eyes, suggesting a deep understanding or recognition of their true nature. The line "You need this song to remind you of wrong you did behind me handfed by your lies" implies that the song itself serves as a reminder of past transgressions and the pain caused.

The final line of the lyrics, "Second guessing everything she ever told me about this lying face down, introducing myself with tomorrow," adds a layer of vulnerability. It appears that the singer's trust has been shattered, and they are left questioning everything they were once told, perhaps even feeling defeated and starting anew.

Overall, "Break" explores the complexities of relationships, the desire for clarity, and the need to confront the past in order to move forward.

@Yamil rey I think you mean the UK mate.
Also, 'Poor third world countries'.
Actually, the original plan was to help them out.
Then we fucked up and are slowly moving out of there.
And we don't sell them to our enemies.
That's called us fucking up again.

Also, need I say that the US' decisions are not made by the same person over and over?
It's multiple branches doing things for many different reasons.
And I think because you live outside the US, you have heard of the stereotypes and have taken that as the truth and anything else(Especially said by an American of all things!) is a lie and needs to be beaten down upon like a relentless thug.

This discussion is now terminated.
I have made my point clear, and you, my friend, as just desperate to shit on my Country.
Which I am proud of.

@Yamil rey What good I have to say about it today.
It's a place where anyone of any religion is free to practice, without fear of being killed for it.
It's a safe and, overall balanced country economically compared to other countries(Most).
Yes, it has made rather poor decisions as of late(Just look at who's leading us! Jared's sakes man!), but then again, so have the 'other countries under it's yoke'.
Yes, America is also prone to having crime issues and whatnot, but then again.
Every damn country has that problem.
So overall if you don't accept this as a legitimate reason, I will know just how much of a hateful bastard you are.

Sincerely,
Empress, who is a miss, not a sir.

Also, *history.
