Back Into The Womb
Moses Gunn Collective Lyrics

Leave it on
I don't care anymore
After the flight
Sleep on the shore
You don't know for sure
We'll go back into the womb
We'll go back to where we came from
We'll go back to where we were
You got my back
I got your soul
You don't need it anymore
Turn off the light
She'll keep us warm
Now you'll know for sure
We'll go back into the womb
We'll go back to where we came from
We'll go back into the womb
We'll go back to where we were
We'll go back into the womb
We'll go back to where we came from
We'll go back into the womb
We'll go back to where we were
Do you make me feel myself?
'Cause you make me feel a shelter
We'll go back into the womb
We'll go back to where we were
The lyrics of Moses Gunn Collective's song Back Into The Womb convey a sense of comfort and security in returning to a place of origin or a state of infancy. The singer alternates between asking to turn off the light and leave it on, suggesting a lack of concern or indecision. The line "sleep on the shore, you don't know for sure" implies a state of unconsciousness or uncertainty about the future. The repetition of "we'll go back into the womb, we'll go back to where we came from" reinforces a desire for retreat and comfort.
The second verse features a more direct reference to the theme of comfort, as the singer notes that "she'll keep us warm" after the light has been turned off. The line "you got my back, I got your soul, you don't need it anymore" suggests a sense of unity and mutual reliance. The final verse explores the idea of feeling protected or sheltered by the other person, asking "do you make me feel myself?". The repetition of "we'll go back into the womb, we'll go back to where we were" once again emphasizes a desire for security and retreat.

I think these lyrics are right except "Do you make me feel myself?" should be "Cause you make me feel safe, cause you make me feel shelter." Also instead of "you got my back" it sounds like "you got my body, I got your soul".
