The symbol of Christianity, the cross, is often used as a metaphor to represent the religion itself.

For religion sold as a brand
Religion is being marketed as a commodity, like a brand or product, to appeal to consumers.

A sacrifice exchanged for the almighty dollar
In the name of religion, people are willing to give up their principles and values for money and material gain.

With the tacit blessings of the Vatican.
The Vatican, the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church, is silently supportive of such practices.

We all have guardians trading faith for power
People in positions of power, like religious leaders and politicians, use faith as a tool to gain power and control over others.

Businessmen by whom we swear
The people who hold power and influence over us are often business people rather than religious figures.

Betraying everyone from Eshwar to Allah
These businessmen betray followers of all religions, regardless of their deity or belief system.

With their holy wars for market share.
They engage in cutthroat competition, using religious language and terminology to gain a larger market share of followers.

We're losing our religions.
People are losing sight of the true meaning and purpose of their religions.

Entrusting our Gods
We are placing our trust in corporate entities, and not in God, to fulfill our spiritual needs and desires.

To corporates that prostrate
We are submitting to corporate entities that feign subservience to a higher power, but in reality only care about profit and control.

Before balance pawns, Unsuspecting pawns
They manipulate and exploit those who are unaware of their ulterior motives, those who are just trying to find balance and meaning in their lives.

Initiating brethren Into the oldest MLM to stalk our streets.
They are recruiting new members into a modern version of the oldest type of pyramid scheme, spreading their message through questionable means.

Behold the soul corporations
Witness the rise of these entities that seek to control and profit from our spiritual well-being.

The spiritual supermarts
These corporations present themselves as one-stop shops for all of our spiritual needs, with a wide range of products and services on offer.

Dispensing salvation with a price tag
They are selling the promise of salvation, but at a cost that is often unattainable for many.

Mocking the truth that resides in our hearts
They are mocking the deep-seated truths and beliefs that exist within us, by presenting their own distorted version of spirituality.

Paralysing the human conscience, With practiced art.
They are adept at manipulating people into a state of moral paralysis, causing them to question their own instincts and values.

And of the various hues of desecration
Of all the forms of degradation and sacrilege that exist, this is perhaps the most insidious and difficult to combat.

This makes them the hardest to beat
The power and influence of these corporations makes it extremely difficult to challenge or overcome them.

The unsure can't endure the liberation
Those who lack conviction or certainty in their beliefs are unlikely to withstand the struggle for freedom and liberation from these entities.

The pious don't discern the need.
Even those who are devout and pious may not recognize the need to combat these entities, due to their complacency or blind faith.

And if there is a truth to be told, Religion's just a shadow of god, Illumined by thought and understanding...
Ultimately, if there is a universal truth to be grasped, it can only be understood through individual thought, reason, and spiritual understanding. Religion is simply a reflection or depiction of this truth, not the truth itself.

Sullied by the ambiguity of words.
The truth may be obscured or distorted by the ambiguous and often deceptive language used by these corporations and other institutions.
